Is the advanced micro dot worth the extra coin over the others? Are there any other sights I should consider in the under $200 range?
I have been looking hard at those too. I am not a weight weenie but they are quite heavy for their size though.PA or Holosun are a great option, and I've never had an issue with them. That said, I'd take a look at the vortex AR sparc. Those come with a lifetime no questions asked warranty. You can get them on PSA with 10 PMAGS for $200.
They aren't that much different, are they? I think the sparc shows a higher weight because the riser mount is integrated.I have been looking hard at those too. I am not a weight weenie but they are quite heavy for their size though.
3.9 oz for the PA vs 7.5 oz for the Vortex. So in the grand scheme of things I guess 3.4 oz is not a deal breaker. The 10 mags is sweet too. They aren't that much different, are they? I think the sparc shows a higher weight because the riser mount is integrated.
Ahhh...good point.Right - but doesn't the vortex weight include the mount vs without the mount on the primary arms? I would think that is where the extra weight is coming from.
That was a good deal. The new PA advanced Micro's are definitely heavier than their older versions. But they also feel better made.
I picked up one of the Blemished ones during BF and was surprised by the weight difference.
I like Primary Arms micro dots, but I love the Holosun dots. They have more features for the same or less money. Holosun can’t be beat for the money.
FWIW, Holosun manufactures PA red dots.
YOU'RE the one that beat me to itI picked up one of the Blemished ones during BF and was surprised by the weight difference.

They were sold out when I clicked the order button.
You'd lose on that deal, I'd like to have an MROI would be happy to trade for that MRO that you have!
Romeo 4A $170I ended up ordering a Sig Romeo 5. The reviews and torture tests I've seen on this little optic make it look very promising. The warranty Sig offers is darn good too.
and the 5 for $195! http://www.primaryarms.com/sor52001 Is the 5 worth $25 more though?
I paid $147.50 for the Romeo 5.and the 5 for $195! http://www.primaryarms.com/sor52001 Is the 5 worth $25 more though?
Oh, where at? So I'm guessing not necessarily worth the $195, lol.I paid $147.50 for the Romeo 5.

Battery life and overall size turned me away from that one. The Sig warranty is almost as good as the Vortex warranty.Although this deal is looking fairly tempting!
And for sure they aren't selling counterfeits? Ebay has burned me too many times.
Yes. Supposedly the Sigs are made by Holosun. Are the Sigs made by Holosun as well?
