I have a Taylors Smoke Wagon in .357 which is the same thing (except for caliber) with different grips and a little fluff and buff. Both made by Uberti. I haven't used it in cowboy action, but for general target shooting it's been fine, no problems. I was pleasantly surprised with the build quality, it's better than I expected. Very nice trigger, almost too light - but it's not a carry gun. Base pin is tight. I replaced my base pin with a polished stainless one from Belt Mountain, it is a little easier to pull and replace. I like it as much a my New Vaquero, though it has a different feel. The Ruger seems heavier and feels unburstable; the Uberti is a little more delicate-feeling. I'd hate to have to choose between them for fun shooting.
