I haven't worn Levi's since 1980!
Me neither.
I kinda feel guilty. Most of these boycotts like this and the NFL crapola, etc. aren't difficult at all for me.
I broke down and went to Publix.

You know it's only referred to as a suggested retail price, right? At least that's what Larry Hyatt told me.Other than their double retail pricing? Not a thing. Nice stores.

UNless you farm in the middle of Montana and make your own clothes, it's impossible to not do business with entities/people that you disagree with.As I've mentioned in other threads, it's difficult to keep track of what companies we're supposed to be pissed at.

There's probably some value in keeping a short list of egregious offenders (i.e. Dick's), but a list of everyone who's not aligned with you passes the line of being practical and/or healthy.
IMO, it wouldn't be necessary to keep and adhere to a list. For example, there's supposedly 80+ million gun owners in the US. For argument's sake lets say 75% are fudds or are too lazy to bother with boycotts. That leaves 20 million people. I would wager that if those 20 million would today, end all support of ONE thing, something big like NFL, NBA, Yeti, Dicks, etc, - it would get the attention of the rest of the anti-2a SJW group FAST!. Imagine if stadium attendance for most NFL games fell to 60%-70% capacity. Once you made an example out of one group, all of the others might not change their views, but I think they would be a lot more guarded about being actively anti-2A.
I realize that in all likelihood, the 20 million figure I used is on the high side, maybe even by double. I say that because, with 80+ million gun owners, the fact that there are only about 6 million NRA and 1.5 million GOA members pretty much indicates that gun owners are, for the most part, a pretty apathetic bunch.
The thing is, you're using too wide of a brush to paint. I'm a gun owner.
I'm not an NRA or GOA Member.
I don't watch anything related to the NFL, NBA, don't use anything Yeti, and don't shop at Dick's.
This is how it has been my entire life- not because of any 2A issues, but they just have nothing I need or want, and I'm not donating money to an organization that I don't always agree with either.
I can understand not donating to NRA, but out of curiosity, what you got against GOA?
Seemed like a logical response. I went and looked at their website, and saw nothing that would improve anything but their pockets by donating.LMAO - carry on!
Why would I donate to GOA? I've never even heard of them.
I think you might have missed my reply above.GOA is a state in India within the coastal region known as the Konkan, in Western India. Wow - I can't believe you've never heard of them. Most other gun owners have and donate to them regularly LOL.

Wow - in 15 minutes of reading you were able to consume and digest 43 years worth of knowledge about their history, their 2A stance, and court cases they've fought. You're a regular Will Hunting!! You should go to Vegas and count cards or something!
I don't recall making that statement, but you're definitely not doing anything to encourage one to consider them.

Thank you coming aboard! I thought I was the most cynical guy here, but you are at least me equal. Very nice to have support.
He is not new, he is the former Murphy Long I do think.

It's not painting with a broad brush at all. It's a statistical fact that membership in NRA / GOA should be higher given the percentage of gun owners in the total population. Just because you don't participate in any of those things means nothing except that you are one of the ones that doesn't fall into the group of people one would statistically expect to do so.
It's not all about the money. Some refuse to be seen using or wearing the gear they protest. And blowing it up or burning it is an expression of how deeply they believe in what they believe, willing to sacrifice hard earned dollars.Yesterday I wore some Levi jeans with my Nike shoes.
Im not tossing anything out. Im not destroying anything Ive already paid for. All these idiots that think they are really doing something by doing that...well, idiots. Companies already got your money, they, likely, dont care that some 50 year old dude burned his trainers or 501s.
I will consider my purchases in the future, look into other good brands, but Im not on the boycott train right yet.
I agree, I am not going to waste my money even if its already spent. But as Georgel said I will decide who gets it. I will wear out my Levi's but going forward its Lee, and yes I did drop Citi and went to another card company. My form of protesting is with my money.Yesterday I wore some Levi jeans with my Nike shoes.

Because, silence is consent.
I disagree, we'll just have to have differing opinions on that topic
Just want to see who this triggers!
I would have said Queer Bait .He is sooo gay.
I apologize to all gay people now. Sorry to insult you.
