HaHa OK I know nothing about pythons! I had a ribbon and I started feeding that guy all the 25cent goldfish it would eat and it got waaaaay bigger than I anticipated. Why would she have a growth spurt at 15 years old?
So did he deal with it, or did she dump him?Dude my daughter is dating had this sucker in his backyard a couple nights ago. My daughter snapped a photo of it...

Diamond back???????
Copperhead. No diamondbacks up this wayDiamond back???????
Negative. Two different species. Although they are both venomous. Cottonmouths are usually found near water and given the name due to their white mouths. Copperheads are more land based. Found under rotting logs and rock structures.2 questions:
I did not know that they got that big
Is the copperhead same as a cotton mouth
The average copperhead is probably under 3 feet long, but thick. I caught one several years ago that was 42 inches long. That was the biggest one I had seen.2 questions:

Those roundups are stupid. I know lots of folks think that because they’re venomous they need to be killed. I’d rather have snakes that ratsInteresting, the rattlers are the ones that are around here. Not sure if that was water snakes or cotton mouths in the creek the other day. I know one swims on top of the water and the other's body is below water. I am not getting close enough to find out. I love looking at snakes behind 2" of glass.
I think this weekend is the Claxton Rattle snake round up. The pull some huge snakes out of their dens.
No more roundup.Jan. 31, 2012
In its 45th year, the festival formerly known as the Claxton Rattlesnake Roundup is undergoing something of a midlife transformation.
Good job.Pulled a 3' eastern king outta a birdhouse yesterday.
Sitting in the shop eating lunch. Owners wife comes hauling ass up, comes in looking for the mechanic.
Says a snake got into her birdhouse with baby birds in it.
I said no babys in there now but we'll get it out lol.
Go to her house about the time the mechanic shows up.
My buddy and I dismantle the bottom of the bird house. Out drops the snake. I snag him behind the head.
Then watch as the owners wife, her 10 yo daughter, the mechanic, his assistant and another employee all freak out, lol.
The guys wanting to kill the poor fella, the girls being dramatic and insisting it be killed
All the while standing there holding this harmless fella with a full belly. Extra drama when he wrapped up around my forearm
No convincing them he was good to have around since they eat vermin and actually seek out other snakes to eat
Bosses wife was pissed at me today when I told her why I didnt kill him and that I released him on the back side of the 15 acre property lol.
Wish I had taken a pic. He was a purty one.
This was Highlands, NC at lunchtime. My house is an hour away. But I did consider itIf they didn't want it, I'd have taken him home and released him at my house.
Kinda rude to watch you remove the snake, and then get mad at you for not killin' it!
Second eastern king g I've encountered this year. It's been easy too long since I've seen a king snake around here.
