I agree with you 100%. But most people don't read statistics. They read the so called news. A lot of people feel uncomfortable when they walk into food lion or walmart with kids and in walks a guy dressed in camo with a gun in his waist. A lot of people dont see a so called assault rifle as a sporting rifle. They see those on tv and in movies killing People. Thats what they associate them with, Killing People. Not as a home defense gun not as a sporting gun. What I'm saying is we need people on our side. Not just gun owners. We need all Constitution, Freedom, America lovers we can get. We have to change our image. We are going to lose it all. When the 2nd Amendment falls so will the Whole Constitution.
And just what the hell am I supposed to do about any of this? I don't control the media, the movies, the TV, or other people.
"We have to change our image."
What you're inferring is that gun owners/activists need to accommodate the very people who would just as soon see us all wiped out.
These guys all know me here. They know that I'm just an easy going mountain guy. I don't get into the cat fights.
Except for one thing; When someone takes it upon themselves to proclaim holier than thou. Now you got my attention.
I'll be honest with you. It's readily apparent that you have some sense of shame about your association with guns.
Well, that's on you. I resent your attempt at projecting your shame upon myself and the others here. You've been here 2 weeks and come out swinging and preaching to the rest of us about how we should conduct ourselves. You have absolutely no business telling anyone how they should live.
Why don't you go the the waistband gun guy in food lion and give him a good dressing down instead of insisting it's someone else's problem?
You just keep walking don't you.
I'm in Asheville every damn day going to peoples houses. Asheville is not the Republican Headquarters in case you didn't know. The first thing they see when I pull in is my GLOCK PERFECTION front license plate. When they see the back of my van and the molon labe, BCM Gunfighter, and Walther decals they become quite aware of who just pulled in.
After an hour of talking with me, they love me. Full blown freaktard hippie far outs.
I am the presentation of the like-able gun owner. I've done more to convince the enemy that I am not the enemy in the last three months than you've done in your entire lifetime.
Don't you ever come on here again and tell me what to do.
