60" on the stump? Did you have it milled into lumber??
If the roots remain they may sprout new growth. Mine did in places. The Crepe Myrtles were a nightmare for eliminating. You must get almost all the roots out.
Outstanding. Hate to see good wood go to waste. What size are you milling it to. I did a walnut log I got 2 years ago and had it done 5/4. Also saved a slad thick enuff for rifle stocks. Wish I had done some 6/4.
