1943 M4A1 Sherman for sale. current bid $430,000.

Nah ... the 75mm has been demil’d, the .50BMG turret is a propane operated replica and the forward .30cal is a dummy barrel only. For that amount I want EVERYTHING just in case ... 😈

Shwarzeneger has the M47 that he drove in the Austrian army. Last I heard it was parked at a studio prop rental biz near where I used to live. My wife toured the place and got a picture of it for me.

Before we go in on this, have we added up the kitty & covered the cost of the P-rat ship and the F4 corsair?

Don't wanna get in over our heads, now...

My grandfather drove an M4 Sherman in WW II. They named it “Plenty Tough”. The most inadequate tank of the war! We just had a gazillion of them! Under powered, under gunned, under armored and they didn’t float worth a crap! We gave a bunch of these things to the Russians and the Brits!

Disagree. Easy to build and maintenance, just wide enough for our rail to move from middle USA to ports. Sling points to go on ships and used through the globe. Main 75mm useful for its main job of destroying targets. 3" gun available for AT role but planners left them in Britain during D Day. 105mm version fielded as an assault gun. Diesel engine version fielded to Russia. Survivable when hit, egress easy for crewmen.
