2019 CMP Eastern Games

Did anybody else shoot the Eastern Games at Butner this week? I shot my M1 Garand on relays on Sunday and Monday morning. They changed some stuff and added pre-assigned firing points, but honestly, I thought it ran a lot better than last year. It is a really fun time and you get to see a lot of nice old military rifles, as well as getting to meet and shoot with a bunch of good people.

It makes it so easy on the shooters by not having to use a scope, that is for sure. However, I still think it was fun working the pits back in the day.

Working the pits is a great experience... once.... After that, it is really nice being done in a hour and a half instead of 4 hours. I wasn't even slightly upset when someone shot out a cord halfway through a string and we all had to wait 15 minutes for repairs to reshoot.
