22lr Scope

So I would think it depends on what you are looking to do with it. Shooting busy tails at 35-50 yards vs making dime size holes at 100 yards. We shoot some different .22 set ups over the weekend. I have a 3x9 that has bullet drop rings for .22 SV. I have the 1st ring set at 35 yards and it puts the second MOA squirrel at 50. My buddy had a 4x12 that was great at 100 yards but was kind of hard to adjust to 35 yards.

Edit: I think the 3x9 is middle of the road for both close and far shooting. It does neither grate but good enough. But I hope to set up a gun dedicated to each need soon.

Use?
Rifle?
How far you plan to shoot?
What is "not break the bank" to you?
Looking to buy a Savage Mark II, or something similar for plinking. Just not wanting a $500 scope on a $300 rifle if that makes sense. Maybe 50-100 yards at most.

Take a look at the Arken offerings. The SH4 models. You can get the rings and other accesories for only another $40 with their combo pack and the promo code NSF$170. And don't think the little .22 can't go farther than 100 yards either. ;)

Just keep mind, rimfire scopes are parallax free at 50 yards, centerfire scopes are set for 100 yards. They average shooter probably won't notice but shooting tiny groups inside 50 yards you'll be best served with a rimfire spec scope.

That is hardly the case anymore. There are a bunch of scopes that have adjustable parallax down to 10 yards and a lot that go to 25 yards. The Arken I linked above is 25 yards to infinity. There is no reason to buy a set parallax scope now with so many good adjustable options out there.
