2A Bourbon

Had to go to a funeral today and stopped at the Bermuda Run ABC store when I had a few minutes to kill. Was surprised they didn’t have 2A in stock. Just a data point.

our hope is one the new abc book is put out for all stores, they will see us in it now and begin to add it to their normal order. New books only come out 2x a year i believe it is. We are trying to confirm when. Until then it is still word of mouth to these store managers. We are stocked in their warehouse now. Just trying to get the stores to know it's there when they don't see it in the current book.... it's always something, but we ain't giving up!

So just to be clear, do they still have to look it up as a special order now, or does it appear to them as standard product?

Bermuda Run has a NC liquor shelf, as do many ABC stores now. I’m sure we will see you guys on it someday.

It is no longer a special item so it should show up in their normal system. It's just not listed in the book until the new one is put out. Confusing i know.

Their computers are linked to the warehouse inventory, which we are in now. Once the new book comes out, they will actually be aware of it. If that makes sense.

Dealing with these people is like having a boss that is below you mentally. Frustrating on many levels. This is the year of hammering out the final bumps to just be on the shelves like everything else.

Thank you guys for sticking with us and putting up with the nc bs. If any of you are planning on getting into the liquor business, don't start it in nc.

The Mint Hill store appears to use that shelf for non-NC stuff, too. So it looks like leftover advertising that was never removed. Kinda kills the hoopla of having such a shelf.

The Bermuda Run store had a ton of NC liquor on that shelf. Not saying they always do, but I checked a number of labels. Lots of stuff I’d never heard of before. Picked up some Broad Branch bourbon, which we don’t get here locally. That was a win.
 
Oak Island hopefully ordering a 6 pack, but I guess the store manager still has discretion if they order or not…
 
Yea the store manager will always have a say as they do with all brands. Our hope is they see how well it does and make the smart call. Time will tell on that one. Thank you for staying on em Mathieu
 
I haven't been able to find it in any of the Chatham county abc stores. When I ask, the store doesn't seem interested in looking it up.

We have sent several hundred to Chatham County about a couple months ago. Hopefully being in the warehouse and getting on the books will help the stores to make it easier for them. Some stores only order what they usually get and don't want to change. I appreciate you looking for it. With a little luck it will get easier and easier to find it as this year unfolds.

I purchased one of the original green cases back around Christmas for one of my sons off the e-net. Bad mistake. Should have got two. I been trying to find a second one for the other son. Hunted here in Tennessee but nothing yet.
Can you give me any ideas how I can buy another one in the green case? Like the original ones.
Thanks for any ideas and help.

They still have them online coming from the warehouse in Florida. Local stores in nc can order from the main warehouse in Raleigh. Hope this helps. Thank you for supporting us. We hope to be on more shelves this year.

Update-i believe they are switching to a raffle instead of an auction due to fees. Trying to get a much as possible for our charities. I'll let you guys know when and where to get a ticket if you are interested. I believe they'll be $10 just like we did on here, except this bottle will be signed by trump jr. I got a set of those glasses for Christmas and they are designed to accentuate the aroma and nose. Honestly, I could not tell a difference.

Edited to add, @Mr. Bggs , not the 2A branded glasses, just those glasses. To be sure, I am sure yours will make me grow chest hair and increase my testosterone.

Boss went to the annual store manager meeting with all of the abc managers from NC and got to show them our stuff for the first time. The next day we sold out in the main warehouse. Just restocked them so things should be showing up in stores all around NC now.

Things are beginning to work out. The head of the manager meeting told us that he'd never seen a local brand do as well as we have in such a short time. I have all of you to thank for that. We truly appreciate each and every one of you that went to your local store and asked them to order you a bottle. Even if they had no clue what you were talking about, it made a difference. We definitely could not have gotten this far without you.

Big year coming up. We are working on a distributor in Texas and Colorado, sent bottles to Kentucky and another load to Tennessee, as well as keeping the warehouse here in NC stocked up. We are talking with the good guys at whiskey and windage about promotion on their podcast so we'll see how that plays out.

I just wanted to give you guys an update on how things have been going and to thank you all again. Tomorrow marks my 18th year at the printing company and I'm sure ready for a change. With any luck this bourbon passion will become my new full time gig.

Oh yea, I'm working on another bottle for the forum raffle also. Hopefully in another month or so when the next batch is ready. I'll keep you fellas updated! Happy Easter everyone and thank you again from the bottom of my heart🫡😇
 
I just had a relative from Illinois come through this weekend. He was really impressed with the presentation. I didn't share the sealed bottle with him so taste is a mystery to him, but now he is hoping to get it locally available near Chicago.

We are actually making inroads on that front as well. I'll update when i hear more. Our guy working on it is remote so i don't speak with him often. The only dirt on his hands are from picking up a phone and while that's very valuable, we rarely cross paths.
