300 AAC Bolt Action

Several years ago I got one of the Ruger Blackouts ( great gun) but never being satisfied and not making sound decisions I wanted more.I found the barrel in the clearance bin at AAC, found me a Rem 700 action & a old lug from guns gone buy... dropped it in a old houge stock and fed it with a MDT mag....then threw it in a pile of needs more cash.... sat on my gun/fun money till the once a year Black Friday sale at MDT and grabbed a blemish chassis and couple extra mags....




rear base had to have some love from the mill...but the adjustment ring clears.

125gr SMK over H110...

Def like this. Also want a bolt action 300blk if for nothing else to shoot the reloads that won't cycle in my AR.

I did the exact same as you did and picked up the AAC barrel dirt cheep off that sale, but mine still sits in an old floppy hogue stock. It does well with supers, but opens up with subs. I really had to crank on mine to get it to pass the go/nogo gauges.
