So I have an Omega in jail and am planning a blackout pistol for when my stamp gets here. I've had my eye on a ballistic advantage barrel but they have been out of stock for a while. Is there another manufacturer I should look at? Think I'm leaning toward a 9" right now

Looks like the Faxon is 1:8. I was looking for 1:7 for 220gr
FWIW...my 10" Noveske is a 1:8 and I shoot 220gr through it all the time.

I'd buy a BA from Monmouth, Granite Ridge, or one of the other third parties because it'll be cheaper. A lot of places are probably sold out because of holidays sales. I'm sure they'll come around end of the month or so have you purchased all your other parts yet?

Yeah they had great prices but everything was out of stock. I found a 8.3" hanson in stock at joeboboutfitters so I ordered one last night along with a gas tube and the barrel comes with a pinned low pro gas block.

I ordered a SB pdw brace from optics planet only to find out it was out of stock. Email said it would ship in 28-31 days but now when you go to their site it says 3-5 months. Unfortunately they are also out of stock everywhere.

Only other big part I need to decide on is a rail but I'm undecided on length.

I'm going to be building a 300BO rifle later this year as well for the wife, with a can so it's toy quiet lol
They're nice!
It wasn't nearly as quiet as I expected, I'd hate for you to spend the $ and be disappointed.
Have you tried a suppressed 300BLK w/ sonic & subsonic?

I went to a SiCo demo day a few years back and that was my first experience with suppressors. I specifically recall 22 and 300 blackout being the most impressive. I wasn't in the market then so I'm not sure what can was on what by those calibers specifically stood out to me.

Other calibers I shot were 9mm, 45, 308, 338 lapua. It was a fun day

Nice!
Was the 300BLK an AR/as gun or a bolt gun?
A bolt subsonic 300BLK is stupid quiet.

It was gas. I bet taking away the action noise is pretty significant
You're right. The majority of the noise was the gas cycling the action. It (my avatar) was still louder than I expected, even after I turned down the gas block just enough to lock the bolt back with subsonics.

Hmmm maybe I'll get a Ruger ranch in 300 blackout..
See if you can find someone, or a couple guys with both and try them side by side.
I WISH Ruger had a short action (like Howa) for a 5.56 length cartridge. The Howa mini doesn't come in 300BLK, or 458 SOCOM :(

I just sold a Ruger ranch in 556 to a guy who also has one in 300 blackout. When my stamp comes in I'll be paying him a visit

If you want an 11.5in, I know a company that makes a "groundbreaking" new barrel and you won't even need a stamp for it.....
