Not hand loading per se, but I was given some .308 that looks a bit different than the rest of the stuff in my stash.

Its noticeably shorter than the other stuff I’ve got (2.710”). It’s stamped R-P 308 Win.
Anybody run across this? I was given a fair bit of it and I’d like to shoot it given what prices are right now.

As a general rule I won't run someone else's reloads and I won't give away or sell any. If you have any doubts pull and weigh the bullets, dump the powder and reload them again. Just not worth the ramifications of somebody else's possible mistakes.

Or. tie yer gun to a tree, tie a string to the trigger, get behind something and pull it.

It looks like a factory load, the case is crimped. I’m just a little wary because it seems shorter than any minimum oal I can find.

I don’t have a reloading manual though (as I’m not a hand loader)
