Has anyone ever seen a different model 3rd gen S&W auto pistol with a slide mounted decocker only lever like the one the video below? Do you know the model number? I would really like to find one in 9mm. Especially if it has the compact single stack frame.

S&W 3913 sounds like what you're after.

Edit: you said decocker "only". The 3913 is a safety/decocker.

I don’t know if they still do it but S&W use to convert some of their 3rd Gens to decock only if you sent them in for service. Don’t hold me to that now and I’m not sure if they’d do it on all or just certain models thru the Performance Shop like the one in he above video.

Smith used to convert safety/decock to decock only like the PC semi autos. Had my 1006 converted years ago and love it. The PC IDPA 5906 4" and 5" were decock guns. PPC 9's were hammer block only and sold to LE only. The 9mm super 9 guns were true safety guns I believe.
John Siefert would be the contact at the PC to ask if this service is still available. The frame may need machining to accept the plunger.

I think the "decocker " was made spring loaded for the CHP. So many people ,civilians and officers were decocking the pistols and forgetting to push it up into the firing mode. I heard that one officer almost died because he was involved in a shoot out and could not figure out why his pistol would not fire. True ,I don't know . I asked a local Police firearms instructor about this pistol and that's the story he had to tell. But it does make perfectly good sense. Plus I have seen many cases of the decocker being bump accidentally into the non firing position and officers did not know it. I think that's the reason that the FBI's 1076 had frame mounted decockers.
