Where do most of you get your 45acp 230gr from (website or local to Winston-Salem)? I'm looking for plated FMJ RN or FN all for range shooting.
Zero bullets definitely for the match stuffRoZe Distribution (Zero Bullets) for match quality jacketed projectiles.
I have loaded quite a few Berry’s bullets (plated RN) for plinking. They don’t perform well at long range but they make for inexpensive practice ammo that uses slightly less powder per load than jacketed.
Blue Bullets are great. Would rate them rather highly. Shoot / shot them from various 1911's and others work great and accurate.I've shot a lot of Xtreme plated bullets, mostly the 200gn RN. I also bought some from RMR, but they have not been carrying the plated bullets for a while now. They are gearing up to produce their own FMJ 45s in house, and if they are anything like their 9mm FMJ 115 RN they will be awesome.
Other places I would look for plated bullets are American Reloading and Everglades.
For coated bullets, I hear the Blue Bullets are awesome, lots of guys shoot them, but I have not tried any yet. I have shot some of the Hitek coated bullets from Bayou, and have had really good luck with them in 30 carbine. I have not shot very many of them in 45acp, though, but they did very well the few that I did shoot.
