got sqauded up with a guy shooting 6arc at the vortex sniper challenge and he was deadly with that rifle. If I was not already neck deep in the 6.5g camp I would go 6arc.
Without derailing the thread, I’m extremely happy with my 6.5 Grendel, I went into the build thinking I’d never shoot beyond 600-700 yards and I am not a hunter at all, but the idea of having a cartridge capable of shooting out to 1000+ yards along with the ability to shoot 90gr bullets for varmints up to 140gr bullets for medium/large game checked all of the boxes for me, I did consider a couple of other calibers such as the .224 Valkyrie & 6.8 SPC II (I have friends who built ARs in both calibers and they are pretty dang awesome imo) but at the end of the day the Grendel seemed like the best option for me.
Definitely keep us posted on how things play out and share your experiences with us, I’m pretty sure I’m not alone when I say this, but negative experiences by one person could end up being exactly what someone else is looking for when it comes to various cartridges.
