What are these things?

The big'un is like a waspish june bug, which shot out some kinda white stuff.

The tiny bug is only 1.5 cm long.

The tiny bug removes heavy metals from the ground. The other is some kind of werewolf moth

I’m thinking the big one had a bowel movement.

The little one looks like those little critters you see in the sand at the edge of the surf.

On second thought, the lil bug could be a sow bug which is different from the roly poly

The little bug looks like what I know as rollie pollie. I'm sure that's not there technical name
100% a rollie pollie. Had them in Commifornia.

Edit: eh maybe not. I don’t think their little antler/feelers are that long.

It also makes sense they would be in a garden since their larva eat tomato plants.
Last year we had a ton of hornworms.

This moth's wings were damaged, not sure how. It was crawling around in circles when I collected it. Thanks, @yard mongrel I think you got it!

Discussed it with Wifey... she damaged the Hornworm Moth's wings by spraying with water when she discovered it. DE is best for getting rid of slugs, but might be bad for the good bugs. She's already using Bt, but needs some more. She wants to try tea cup saucers full of beer for eliminating slugs, but all my beer is porter an' such.

I need to find someone willing to buy some Bud Lite for me...

Wifey said, "No, it's a tobacco worm moth... like a hornworm moth but different species... both can be found on tobacco and on tomatoes."

I said, "What does it matter?"

She smiled and said, "Yeah, who gives a...!"

Rare for her to use that kind of vocabulary!
