A Reminder Not To Advertise Your 2A Stance

I’m starting to consider open carrying a Colt SAA with MOP grips everywhere cause I’m not a sticker guy. Need to get a respectable cross draw holster.

edit: and that “beware of dog” stuff has been a concern since before the internet, I wonder if it has ever really been used in a civil case or if it is just urban legend.
My front yard says, "Beware of Mrs. Jfanatic!" No one has ever gotten close enough to worry about a legal issue!

You guys have me considering a Prius. 😳

LOL.

True story.... I once pulled into a gun range driving our 2008 Prius with several "spay and neuter your pet" stickers on it. The tacticool crowd hanging around the parking lot at the time was giving me the stink eye (apparently they thought that I was some lost Carboro resident), until I took an MP5SD out of the car. The looks on their faces was priceless!

I wonder if we’ll see random “F”, “J” and “B” campaign yard signs. I’m hopeful that “Let’s go Brandon” will still be relevant.

Consider:

If 50% of the cars on the road have a Don't Tread On Me sticker, it's normal to Mr and Mrs Joe Bag O donuts and nobody cares

If 0.001% of the cars of the road have a Don't Tread On Me sticker, it changes to: " Look! A terrorist White Supremacist " .

If it's to the point we're afraid to be what we are (for whatever reason)the bad guys have won and we're cowards.

This is the advise I received decades ago learning to Shutzhund train my Rottie. DO NOT have a "Beware of Dog" sign, it shows you know your dog is dangerous. Post a "Dog on Property" sign instead.
For many years I had a sign up in my driveway that read
"Guard dog on premises. Do not get out of car, honk your horn, and wait for owner".

That sign was magical. Kept a lot of people away. It was fun to see them pull up...stop...and back out.
By the way...did not have a guard dog on premises.

FYI...if you get a sign made, do not get red letters as they fade fast.

How long you can leave a FJB sign in your yard is a fair litmus test of how liberal a shithole you live in.

I wouldn't advertise anything unless I was paid, but wanting to and not out of fear of liberal retaliation, well there is a word for that...
Be sure to wire in a cattle fence shock box and a live stream camera.

I‘ve seen more beware of dog signs used where there are no dogs.

You will never change anyone's mind about hot button political or social issues, certainly not by displaying a bumper sticker. The security advantage of the grey man approach outweigh the propaganda value of advertising your position, IMO.

Best defense I've seen along that line was at a client's house. He had no dogs, but had two large dog bowls on the porch, one with water and the other for "food". Connected to the doorbell was a delayed recording of a Doberman going psycho. He could switch it off when he was home, but while he was gone, the psycho pooch recording was on. No signs, no real dog. Ring that doorbell and you'd swear there was a Doberman bent on killing trying to break down a door to get to the front door.

Would’ve made more sense if it had a period after the word “car”. 🤓

Luckily my whole Neighborhood is 2A Compliant.
Signage.... say no more we all need to step up to match @BatteryOaksBilly Driveway.
I wear my 2A Hat proudly I don't worry about them asshat SJW types. We carry Everywhere it's Legal. Open/Concealed depends on location's and common sense.

I had to remind some folks on our Next Door App this past week.
Over 100 people slammed this guy for wanting to block these folks legally saling Ammo.
We have to Stand for our rights guys.

Your vehicle, home, body, etc … your right to choose how you decorate it.

I will say I do agree with the last statement in the video … everyone needs NO TRESPASSING and/or NO SOLICITING signage at the entrance to their property and door(s). It makes it so much easier and funnier when the LEO asks them “Can’t you read?” … priceless looks!

I got a phone call right as I pulled up to the polling place to vote. Sat in the truck for a few min talking. I was parked right in front of the campaigners harassing everyone that went by, almost all democrats. I had in mind something clever to say, but not a one spoke to me. I was almost disappointed. Then on the way out, I saw my Gadson flag front plate.

I have my Ring Doorbell chime set on a large barking dog. There is a sticker on the side panel windows that states there is nothing in here worth dying for.

Oooooooooooooo, now you've done it! 20yrs from now when you vote "right" they'll come after you and use THIS as the reason to find you worthy of incarceration! Jurors and justice will be a thing of the past. Your case will be tried via social media - a 10 day rule and whichever has the most "likes" wins!

I put "Please rescue my German Shepherd Dog" stickers on my house to alert the firemen entering that she may need saving if the place is burning. It got the attention of salesmen coming to the house long after the dog passed. They'd ask if the dog was crated before they would come in.

I tend to go the grey man route these days, to the extent possible. I can't help looking like Chuck Liddell's older brother & don't even attempt to hide my ink, but I'm not covering my truck up with stickers. You can't swing a dead cat around here without hitting a MAGA, Trump 2024, FJB or DTOM sign/banner/flag & it's assumed that everyone is carrying, but I'd rather fly under the radar & like to attract as little attention as possible.

This thread is the perfect spot to show off my new rifle case. If you remember my thread from a couple weeks ago about how Pelican just sent me a brand new case rather than replacing a broke wheel on my old one, which was covered in gun type stickers. With this one I decided to go…..a different direction with it.

I'm not trying to convince everyone to cover their car with gun stickers, just that if you would normally then don't be dissuaded. Just wondering though, would you give that reason for refusing military service?
I am trying to tell people not to cover cars in gun stickers... that's how you get crack heads breaking in.

I think some of us aren’t differentiating between the cute stuff in the original post that could get you in legal trouble vs. basic gun stuff like NRA member or Glock Perfection that could get you vandalized or broken into.

Just an FYI. In no way was I condemning anyone for choosing to put any kind of firearm related stickers on their vehicles or property by starting this thread.

To each his/her own. I choose not to have stickers or signs on my property. However, I do not judge or look down on others who choose to display their support for the 2nd Amendment on their property.

My intent was to just pass along a tip for anyone who may have not thought of looking at this subject from a different point of view.

opening Dec. 1 in Calabash. Seems people are interested, that's a good sign.

I don't put stickers on the the vehicles for my wife's safety. Although she may me more apt to confront you than I am.

I wear all kinds of patriotic shirts, hats etc. Fly flags at the house, political signs etc. I just don't want any chance of my wife being targeted. I'm the grey man at work outside those that know me well.

Dave, we all know you don't need 2A/pro-self defense advertisements on your property, since folks figure it out pretty quickly stepping over all the bullet riddled delivery persons.
:p
