A Swing for a Fatboy

Since my 2 are a little big for the children's swing, I took it and my swing down so I could build me a new swing. I'm 6' tall and I wanted something that I could lay down on or sit up with my legs stretched out, so I built me a fatboy swing.

Good looking swing. Put some kind of cushion in it and I could do some serious napping in that thing. Of course I'd have to share it with the dog, he loves a swing.

Not the kinda swing I was expecting. My old swing was almost 30 years old. My brother sat on it a couple nights ago and part of it broke. I gotta get or build another

That really is a fine swing. I like just the one side that is slanted back like the backrest, too.

My granddad used to make porch swings and sell them when he was an adolescent in Robeson County a century ago. His dad was mayor of the little town, so he had no shortage of customers. lol

this is my basic pattern, but after looking at it, I just realized that I didn't angle the back of the last one enough or like the drawing shows. I only put this one on 10 degrees.
