My Dad's brother passed away last Monday, June 1st. after a long illness. He was a brilliant man. You can read about him in this link.

We listened to this organ he designed and built himself at his funeral on Friday. He's been involved in the design and/or construction of many pipe organs around the world.

This one that he built for his church is the largest of it's type in the world, 2600 stainless steel pipes:

Sorry for your loss. That is amazing. Thanks for posting.

Rest In Peace Mr. Harrah. Your legacy in churches will live on forever.
Prayers for the family for comfort in the difficult situation.

Sorry for your loss.

Sorry for your loss, Dave. The man had a talent.

Sorry for your loss Dave.
It sounds like your uncle was really talented. Pipe organs are awesome.
My brother (who lives in that house at the foundry) is an organist, so I passed this on to him. Like how some of us are gun snobs or knife snobs or tool snobs, my brother is a pipe organ snob (and I mean that affectionately). He has worked at several churches in Greensboro, and now is a church organist and music director in Winston.
