So I took my Big Boy .357 carbine to the range last weekend and at 25 yards it's shooting 6 - 7" to the left. I'm thinking the front sight has to be drifted to the left. I've done this myself along time ago on a cheap .22 with a brass hammer. I don't want to do this to my Henry. Is there a better tool to use or would you take it to a smith?

Interesting - Have you used it? Just curious how small or large of an adjustment it makes.
I have one, just need to go shoot to be able to use it.
The amount of adjustment you get is based on how far you pull the hammer weight out.
There are videos showing its use.

I’ve used a couple layers of masking tape on the face of the brass punch to prevent marring and it works pretty decent.

I also have a 3/16” drift punch I modified specifically for sight adustment…put it on the drill press and bored a 3/32” hole in the center of the face. Mixed up some clear epoxy and put a dab on the contact surface. Once it cured, I sanded the epoxy flat, to around 1/16” thick. Every now and then, if I use the punch enough or I get a sight that’s a bit stubborn, I’ll have to redo the epoxy on the tip.

Skinner sells a sight punch for adjusting and i stalling sights, i tape up the site and gently use their punch.
