Just ran this little sick bastard off again. This I got pics. What do yall think of this fine specimen? Looks a little sicker every time I see him.

His tail doesn't look right. It isn't all fluffy like a normal fox. Maybe just because it is spring time?

Young fox pup. See them all the time at the house. Several have looked like that and they never bothered us. As long as he runs away when you shoo him off he's fine

Mange and possible rabbies. Pop his butt (azz) and bury him so other animals don't dig him up.
My pic taking ability is crap. The only hair on his tail is the tuft of white on the tip. There were 3 healthy young kits in early March & this is the only one left.
@Tailhunter that is my diagnosis also. He's covered with mange.
I've walked to 10-15 feet from him & he just walks off about a little ways & lays down.

I'd leave him alone. No links between mange and rabies that I know of, and even if he's on his way out he might eat a few moles/voles before he goes.

Feed him some leftover ear cartilage

He probably has both.
Kill him and protect the uninfected animals that are in the surrounding area.

Just as easy to pull the trigger as it is to take a picture.

True but can't shoot him here. I'm annexed to one of NC's paper towns.

The rabid raccoon I encountered a couple years back was basically unresponsive. It sort of sat there on its hind end and was making a weird sound, unless you poked it (I had a long piece of conduit I jabbed it with) and it would start growling and frothing. After the initial intrigue wore off, I busted its ass with my 19. Read online to put bleach or something on the blood spots

Hell go on and shoot him. Just holler that you are in fear for your life. Rabid animal can kill you as quick as one of them damn ANTIFA or a robber.

Can you keep a fox as a pet? Sounds stupid but I've heard worse.

No. I had a kit for a few months. They dont really ever tame. He was cool. I put him in the cargo pocket of my duty pants and feed him while i was cooking. I gave him to someone that is certified to take wild animals. Every time i got him out of the kennel he would growl at me and hiss. I found him in the road after a huge rain. He sat there and his mother never showed up i intervened.

For leagal reasons i is a stranger his brothers name is me and they died last year when his boat capsized i to a roaming band of man eating sharks. God rest I and me.

I had a friend in high school that had a pet raccoon.
I used to date a girl whose sister had a pet coon! Meanest damn thing I've ever saw. It would growl at you and show his considerable teeth! He got out once and they found it in a neighbors kitchen eating a watermelon! It had to go. I don't know where but it left! Damned thing always scared me!

I had a buddy in college whose girlfriend had a pet coati. Basically a half breed south american racoon/lemur. She also had several other pets including fish and a parrot. One by one, the coati ate all of her other pets. Hahaha. One time, the buddy was driving the thing somewhere and it got in to some girlscout cookies in the car. He nearly wrecked the car when he tried to take the cookies away from it and it went wild animal in the car. I saw him the next day and he was all cut and bandaged up.

My dad brought home a coon. He grew up and it was nearly impossible to keep him locked up.
They's gots hands and they know how to use them. He broke out never to be seen again.

He also brought home a baby mink. Adorable. He'd lick milk off your fingers. Until he figured out their was fresh meat under the milk and started biting the %^& out of everybody!

My dad always had a soft spot for stragglers and would bring them home all the time.
