Well he finally did it. He ticked off every states governor at the same time.

Fifty governors have signed letters in opposition to a Biden administration proposal that would change who has control over a state's national guard. A new Pentagon proposal, supported by the White House, would partially change that.

It's a governor's job to handle the state's National Guard, deploying members within their own state or to others in times of crisis.

The Pentagon's proposal would give the Air Force secretary the sole authority to move Air National Guard members from any state to Space Force units in effort to build the service's Space Force.

FJB. The states have rights beyond what Biden thinks. If he doesn’t protect our borders the states need to step up.
This includes border crossings at state borders… if the Massholes let illegals in they should be stopped at the NH border. Let them go to NY if they want but stay the hell out of NH.

Wait I don’t live in NH anymore… let them illegals try to enter my small NC town and see what happens.

Unless Congress changes the law, State National Guard is only "federal " when they go on Federal orders.
And I guarantee these @$$#@+$ have never met anyone in the guard.........
Going from active duty to a state Guard unit is worse than hell, at least it was for me.

He’s (they’re) not worried about Blue states like CA, NY, etc … it’s the Red ones like Texas he (they) want to be able to be able to take control of from Conservative Governors. It kinda sorta disarming the unfriendly Governors he (they) fear like Gun Control Laws disarm citizens he (they) fear.

Biden’s son was the state Attorney General of Delaware when he joined the National Guard after 9/11.

Say what you might about Biden, I’m confident he has a strong understanding of how the Guard operates and the separation between their commands when under state or federal control.

As for yoinking ANG members to feed the Space Force, I think getting 50 Governors to agree on something should send a strong message.

What? You think he has a ‘strong understanding’ of anything? Have you been out of the country with no internet for a few years? He can barely walk, talk and say Cheese. He has zero understanding of anything. He was an idiot when he was 30. Now he’s barely above the level of plant intelligence.

Hahahahahahahahahahaha!!!

Biden doesn't know what he had for breakfast! Just sayin'... That confidence you have is misplaced!

As for Federal Control... President has the authority to federalize the National Guard in times of war, national emergency, or when requested by the governor of a state or territory.

The POTUS acts as Commander & Chief... So why then does he need to codify this attempt to move away authority from the POTUS to the Air Force? Hmmmmmm?

If he knows what he's doing, why is he trying to subvert the powers to the Executive by the Constitution to one of the Branches of his Armed Forces?

There's some unseen nefarious intent here... Just like the 2012 NDAA restructured the power command of acronym agencies and the armed services! Obama swore he would not sign the thing, but around the stroke of midnight during the new year, he did, so it would receive little attention. It wasn't until months later the new powers seized by the Federal Govt in that NDAA was exposed! Anyways...

Biden has basically screwed almost everything he has touched during his term, and this has stink all over it! Lol

Hmmmmm...

No plagiarism there either! Lol

He's an empty suit puppet, being led around on a leash. Question is who's pulling the strings here on this one, and what or why?

Have a great day!

He thinks he just needs to make an order and activate the guard. Then fight it out in court for many years.
F the constitution and states rights.

Sooooo..... make the guard, in part, active duty by way of moving the units and personnel around (at least for the AF and SF). If those folks wanted to go AD, they would have gone AD.

There is stupid, then there is Biden stupid.

im sure this will only help recruitment/retention...

They give them free housing and college and every other thing here in Greensboro and at A&T and a generous government free money cheque they come cash at this branch every month, but somehow still manage to spend none of it on soap.

Wow, a plan's got to be pretty heinous to get a unanimous response like that. I'm glad they all had at least enough sense to recognize this for the federal power grab it was.

Two things I wouldn't think possible these days; 50 governors saying no to Biden and 9-0 rulings from SCOTUS... on anything!

The National Guard is raw armed power under the direct control of governors. Governors really like that and won't give it up without a fight - regardless of which political party they belong to.

This is something I considered after I made my post, but I still found it shocking that there was not at least one or two butt kissers.

They do love their personal power.

The National Guard thing was a no-go from the start, proposing it wasn’t to get the National Guard under the control of the President, it was for some other reason. I kn9w that it’s hard to look away from the clown, but the action is elsewhere.

There are certainly a number of governors with otherwise ready and willing lips, but the people in the Pentagon were apparently too arrogant to believe they needed to offer compensation to, or even consult with, any of the governors.
