Yea I should of worded that better. It is still a pain though. I do not know why it just can not be gotten from the top. Pull up out of socket and be done with it.You dont have to.
He’s a General Motors genius@Burt Gummer gave you up quick!
Are you sure the new sensor works?@Mike Overlay Well I put the new sensor in and the headlights still will not go off in the day light. Any ideas?
Edit: I am looking to see if there is a Day Time Running Light fuse now. Just because I am out of ideas.
I was just heading out with the tester to check oHms.Are you sure the new sensor works?
Open or closed circuit when in “daylight” vs dark
oemCould be a Body Control Module issue. GM’s plagued with those. We’re you able to find an oem sensor or aftermarket? I suggested salvage yard before only because manufactures are only required to supply parts for 10 years after a model’s built by law, and often times obscure parts like that are the first to disappear.
Well that takes the hit/miss of aftermarket electronics out of the equation. You need someone with a scanner to see what the BCM is seeing/doing.

When it comes to this sort of stuff, avoid rock auto and auto zone or the likes. Call the dealer and get prices. It may very well be cheaper and the manufactures spec’d correct parts. Or..Thank you for checking this out. I will check the wiring down to the module. I know right where the module is at so that works. Just not sure I want to spend that kind of money for a new module if that is it. Rock Auto is out of stock and Auto Zone was around a hundred.
Thank you again for taking the time to check this for me
Well it is the module. Put everything back together. I will check with the dealer and see what the price is and then decide whether or not to replace it. Had the vehicle for 20 years now so I can not complain. At the module, termina H..lt/grn and blk wire is terminal A at the sensor
Terminal G..yel/blk wire is terminal B at the sensor
Terminal C is power in from the DRL fuse at the underhood fuse blockicl
Terminal A..blk wire is the module ground
Without your vin#, I think the part number is 10407669. Plug that into gmpartsdirect.com and see. That place is a chevy dealer in Winston Salem.!Well it is the module. Put everything back together. Thank you very much for your help.
