This morning I fired up the old search engine and saw that drifters gear had some remington LRP 109/1000 with 2 per customer limit. So happily I added 2 to the and expected the usual $30 hazmat+shipping+tax. Boy was I wrong, $53.68 for shipping!! (not sure if that included the hazmat) I was too scared to go any further and higtailed it off the website.
I get we live in a capitalist society, but $53 for shipping and $.22/ primer borderlines highway robery with a pitchfork. And,unfortunately, with no end in sight.
Happy Friday!

Yeah, I see a lot of "bargain" prices that are negated by shipping, etc.

Unfortunately, there's not much choice as far as brick-&-mortar stores anymore.

Website in FL wants $78 FedEx ground for a case of 9mm ammo mfg in Turkey, on ammoseek. 😁

I bought some Lap 6br brass from Drifters and everything was reasonable. HAZMAT is a scam and ripoff perpetrated by the frt companies. Double boxing I can see but the rest is pure profit. Some etailers mark up frt and hazmat as is their choice. Im always looking for free freight or no hazmat.

Shipping charges is one of the main reasons I just went ahead a long time ago and joined Target Sports for 95 bucks a year. You get free shipping and a additionally 8% off on everything. Over the years it has paid me back many times.
It don't matter if it's a box or cases of ammo.
And no, I have no affiliation with them except buying. And I have never had a single problem with a lot of shipments over the years.

You know, the hazmat fee is created by the retailer, they don’t pay it to the shipping company. Pure profit.

Not LRP but I’ve had SRP up for $65 per 1,000 and hardly had much of a bite. Maybe I will start selling more now.
Shipping has got outta hand.

The Sportsman's warehouse in Greensboro has Remington 9 1/2 LR primers in stock for $89.99 per 1000.
It may be too far from you?
Now why would I drive an hour and a half when the kind folks at Miwall wil sell it to me for a bargain😂😂

I saw $67/lb IMR 4350 and $170 for a brick of CCI #34s at a shop over the weekend. I kept driving.

Stopped in another place and bought 2lb of 4350 for $40/lb, and 1k of #34 for $90. Wasn't out hunting, but I had a long drive and decided to break it up with some stops at gun shops.

Larry I may have to try that out. The cost of shipping and hazmat are deal killers. I have been lucky to find primers at Cabelas more recently.
