We are Anvil to Edge. Handmade knives and blades for any occasion. We've made knives to commemorate births, knives with blessings embedded in the handle scales, knives from passed loved one's tools, and everything on down. Tomahawks are a special favorite of the shop boss to make.
Our work, as a rule, isn't for flashy wall hanging. They are handmade tools for using.
If you have an idea for a knife you've always wanted, we can make it a reality.
And the best part? We make knives in this shop because we love to do it. We price them to go home with people. They do us exactly zero good sitting in the shop.
A four inch everyday carry knife with a matching handmade sheath will cost you all of a hundred thirty bucks plus shipping. And if you can break it, we will fix it or replace it as appropriate. All we ask is that you let us know what happened so we know what to build for in the future.

Most of our work is custom made to order and there is a six week lead time. Occasionally, we do events that we make a selection of knives for. If some come home, they'll get listed for immediate sale.
We are located in Selma, NC and love to have folks come by to help design their own knife.
The shop boss, Bear, also teaches knife making classes. For less the cost of a knife, you can come get the experience of making it yourself. And Bear will help you as much or as little as you need to be sure you leave with a blade you can be proud of!
