Got a Whirlpool glass top stove. One of the burners seems to get stuck on. I gather the issue is the infinite switch? Opened it to get the part num and noticed some char on one of the wires. Other question, part number is 3148954. Looking up Whirlpool parts, they want to sell me 3149400. I assume they’re compatible but the original is 10-11.5A, this replacement is 8.9-11A. Will that affect the range operation? Any thoughts appreciated!

Check with D&L appliance on a replacement switch or there website is pretty good about giving you parts and superseded parts. There prices were better in store than posted online when i went in greensboro location but not sure about others.

Thanks I’ll check them out. Come to think about it we use them for work all the time and I gotta go to Wilmington tomorrow.

Edit: part confirmed, $30 cheaper than Whirlpool list and in stock. Many thanks…

Don't depend on their website. It's rarely right and shows in stock but it's at their supplier, not in store. I've had an account and been dealing with them for 25 years. Call to verify before you make the trip. If they have it. Hit me up and I'll give you my account # and save even more

I gotta be up there anyway so will drop in. I’ve been there for a pickup before, but good point. Cross my fingers for a common infinity switch. Now I’m wondering about the switch harness though, one wire wasn’t burned through but it was a little toasty. Maybe shoulda inspected it better… that part looks a little harder to find.

+1 for D&L, I know the owner and management team well.
Infinite switches are a very common replacement part, easily top 500. Unless yours is an odd-ball model, they should have that in stock at all locations.

Original discontinued, that is new part number, also on amazon $24

Amazon link not working search for B0849NV83B
