I signed up my 44 year old son and myself up to attend the one day Appleseed handgun Clinic at the Pitt Co Wildlife Club on October 8. Looking forward to shooting with him and doing the clinic. Planning to use my 625 .45acp. Going to use up some jacketed bullets that I can’t use in cas. I’m not sure what he’s using. Is anyone from the forum going? Hope the weather cooperates. And of course it’s the same weekend as the Colt Collectors show in Concord. Been wanting to go to one of those forever, rejoined CCA this year too. Going to do both, I’ll just have to drive from Concord late after Friday’s events and spend Friday night in Greenville so I’ll be right there Saturday morning. A fun weekend.

Dang... if I wasn't already over-committed I'd love to hit the pistol course. It's been on my bucket list for a while now-

Yup. Will be there with the Mrs. .

I went to a previous Appleseed pistol clinic, summer of 2021, and learned a lot.
Earlier this year I also attended a regular Appleseed, my 3rd, and made Rifleman.

So now I need to earn the matching patch!

didn't know such a thing existed. Please post a review. I would go but am busy coughing my lungs out on the table for the next few weeks. I loved the rifle course and need to go back

Already booked up. :(
most Appleseed events get filled up soon after they're posted
I check their website every few weeks to see new listings

RWVA membership gets you a healthy discount, so it's worth it, if you go to even two events in a year

I will be there. I'm the shoot boss. Looking forward to meeting you! And I'm looking forward to seeing a revolver on the line. :)

If anyone has questions about Appleseed--this event or in general--feel free to ask and I'll find the answers for you.

Here are the remains of my son’s and my 300 plus moonclipped ammo from yesterday. He doesn’t reload so I got his brass. We really had a great time. I would like to publicly thank Moylan, Rimbo and all the other volunteers for a well run, very safe clinic. Enjoyed Rimbo and his deadly whistle but I was waiting for him to request the culprit who fired the late shot to drop and give him 20. I would highly recommend the Appleseed Clinic to anyone who enjoys shooting a handgun. Bring plenty of ammo. [Still a weaver stance guy though.] Maybe a Appleseed rifle clinic next. Thanks again.

baltimoreed, my wife really liked your hat, and I enjoyed watching a skilled wheelgun master at task with his art

I missed Pistoleer by 7 points despite 3 months of practice (and having qualified during said practice seven times in the past 2 weeks)

I will be back the next Pistol Clinic at Ramseur or elsewhere within reasonable driving distance

It was great having you both at the shoot! You both did great. Hopefully, we will get some more pistol clinics scheduled for NC very soon.
