I pocket carry a Sig P365 but have a soft spot for revolvers and am kind of interested in picking one up and depending on how I like it and after a bunch of practice, switch over.

Also open to other suggestions but prefer starting at a 357 with the ability to move down to 38, and want SADA

I carried one for the first few years I had my permit. Mine had a shrouded hammer, which I liked. I think it was about 25 ounces unloaded. It was definitely very hefty in the pocket, but it was still very comfortable to carry. I used a leather pocket holster. I know some people carry double action guns without a holster, but I can't get my head around that.

I carried 2 J Frames for a decade, then two Model 12s. Occasionally now I carry a Taurus View. It weighs 11 ounces Loaded.

Two at the same time. Careful man.

I pocket carry a 340PD daily and dont even notice it really anymore. I use a leather pocket holster, and opt for .38 +P over .357. I think it weighs less than a pound loaded.

Does that even qualify as a barrel?

That gun is typical of Taurus. They came out with it, it sold out and went on a waiting list. Then because people complained about the plexiglass side plate scratching after carrying, they changed to an aluminum one. Sold out again......soooo they stopped making it. It went from a $325 blaster to a $600+ one. I love concept guns like this that are done to the extreme. I will buy all I can but Not at 6 scoots.

I carry 3 guns on me. Carolina Reload.

I have a 605 but I don’t pocket carry a gun that has a spur on it. I carry a S&W 640 357 Magnum 5 Shot. I personally don’t see any reason why I’d shoot single action for self defense, as a round could easily get touched off.

When adrenaline is running through your body you will rely on gross motor skills.

Now, any double action revolver can be staged just like a single action revolver. It takes practice but it is definitely doable.

I like my 605 when I’m riding my motorcycle. Very easy to carry owb in leather. I painted the sights and put a hogue grip on it. I didn’t bob the hammer. Thumb it.
