Had a burner element on the cooktop go bad, ordered a replacement and all was good. When testing the other burners... another one 'popped' (literally heard it and the smoke escaped).

At one point I knocked a wire off that burner while working on the first one, and I thought I put it back in the right spot (there was one obvious terminal with no connection on it) but apparently not.

I can find parts diagrams, but not wiring diagrams online. Anyone know where they're available?

bosch hei8056u is what I'm working on.

Try partstown.com or part partselect.com.

nothing on that model.

I've got the replacement element on order, I'm sadly getting good at that.

It's so simple, it's 2 AC wires for power, and 2 wires for the temp probe. Unless the connector itself was damaged....?

Check behind the range, the schematic could be in an envelope or on an adhesive label.
Just replaced our old stove. @Button Pusher is correct, the parts and wiring schematics were in a clear plastic pouch on the back of the new stove.

If you need new connectors make sure you use high temp connectors. Wire is high temp also. Has cloth insulation.

Holy crap, it's there!

I feel dumb for missing it, but happy that I have it and only you people know of my shame. Like anyone cares what you people think! :)

Thank you.

I've been there and done that. 😀

Yeah, I was amazed at this a few decades back when I discovered this. Most all major appliances like washer/dryers, electric ranges, refrigerators, freezers, etc. have a schematic with them somewhere.

For washers and dryers, they're typically located folded up behind the control panels on top of the appliance where the buttons and dials are. I don't know about ones which have the controls built into the flat face of the appliance, though. Might be on the back or inside the back cover.

I always make it a point to put the effers back where they were whenever I'm done using them, too. No "putting them somewhere I won't forget" crap! So be sure you do the same when you're done!
