AR-15 with a red dot

Anybody running a red dot on a 16" 223 AR?

If so, what distance did you zero it in? Think 75 yards with a 2 MOA dot. These 2 ARs are for my son and SIL and I cannot imagine that they would ever shoot over 100 yards.

50yd zero is the way to go.

I don't really even get out to 50yd in my yard... but i've had my 50/200 do just fine at everything from 10 to 100 or so.

interesting... but unless you wanna hit 300+, seems like 50/200 is still the way to go. the extra hold-under on 100-200 seems to be right in the best range for the cartridge to be working in.

Not the same as 50 yards, imo.
