I am still having lite primer strikes with my AR-9. It may be one out of 40-50 rounds. I have replaced the buffer spring with a Springco M4/Caar-15 Extra Power Spring and the buffer with a PSA buffer that is made for an AR-9. Also, I think that I put a Wilson Combat firing pin in the bolt.
The only thing that I can think of is I did not seat the primer enough (fired on the second try) or the hammer spring is too weak. Do not think it is the spring on the firing pin.

OPEN TO SUGGESTIONS.

You need to load a few hundred rounds very carefully and then inspect thoroughly. Really should eliminate the ammo as the problem before working on the gun.

Does it function with other ammo?

With the spring removed, how much does the firing pin protrude from the bolt face?

What hammer spring are you using? Sure its not installed backwards?

Barrel is flush with front of receiver/not standing proud?

I am going to reload a few rounds and make sure the primer pocket is clean and they are set all the way in. I have not bought store bought ammo in 5 years that was not 22 LR. This is the only gun that I am having problems with. Thanks,

I have not bought factory ammo in over 5 years but do have some that I will try.
I am assuming you are talking about spring on the firing pin. Not really sure, will give it a look tonight.
I built the gun 3 years ago and I'm not sure what fire control group is in it.
Yes the barre is flush
Thanks

Should be around .030" protrusion on the low end. Make sure spring is in good shape and no peening on the nose of the pin.
