NYAG would definitely use it to prosecute anyone who possesses, manufactures, or sells, any striker fired semiautomatic pistol, with or without a polymer lower.
That is the purpose of vaguely written anti gun laws. Then NYAG will go after all other semiautomatic pistols. The all semiautomatic rifles. They will be this no matter how many times they get slapped by SCOTUS. Like CA, NY rulers act as if the US Constitution does not apply there. Judges have even said that in court.
NY is notorious for passing all manner of vague laws that are used to prosecute innocent people, particularly those who are not paid up donors to the machine or attempt to go against the machine.

NY and Cali easily pass anti-gun laws that they know will not pass constitutional scrutiny - but who cares? They're playing with house money.

This is not about safety, it's about power and votes from the ignorant that think these laws make them safer (because the media says so).

There should be consequences for passing obviously unconstitutional laws, but there isn't, so it will only get worse as more and more conservatives flee.
