Speaking as someone who has had this diagnostic procedure done, they give him some stuff to drink that glows under the MRI and can see exactly what is going on with his intestines.MRI? What do they think is going on that an MRI is the key?
Not doubting your credentials. I have diverticulosis. I live in the Raleigh area. It was the first thing they did ten years ago when my UNC educated primary care doc sent me to a surgeon to check out my pains.I'm in medical imaging...MRI is usually done after ct and endoscopy for specific reasons. It is rarely the first choice for the intestines which leads me to think his er visit didn't give him a complete result.
I suppose there are worse places you could have tubes.Laying here with a tube down my nose, I will be here through tomorrow at least
