WE were at the Family Dollar / dollar store in Snow Hill today and they were advertising Campbell soup 50% off.. So, we put 22 cans of assorted bean and bacon and potato soup in our cart and proceeded to the check out.. The lady who works there said in a shitty voice "I can't override that many cans". I told her the sign said 50% off and took her back to the aisle where the soup was. She ripped the signs off and said she didn't have time to override all those cans,. We left the cart and left without comment. I went on the family dollar site and left a scathing review of that store and Im sure nothing will happen but I aired my disgust for that individual ,. Hey, either sell the stuff you have on the shelf or not,, but don't act like a damn fool if someone wants to buy it.

It’s……the family dollar. It’s like eating at shenanigans and expecting them to be nice.

As far as writing a review on their website, you’d probably have more luck attacking an insane asylum with a banana.

Console yourself by heading over to the Farmer and the Dail and having a meal and some Apple / Peach Jacks. You’ll spend more than 6x what you would have spent at Family Dollar, but you’ll be glad you did. Oh.. and snag a bag or Biscuit Bombs to go!

It's everywhere... luckily you were at the dollar store. Imagine when people with these attitudes do something serious... like a Pharmacist.

Had one for Walgreens just decided she was not going to do anything to help. Had my doctor call and she still didn't help with my prescription. I sent a review into the District Manager; he called and apologized, but that is all he could do. It's going to get worse and worse.

Folks say, "There is no one coming to rescue you" for SHTF scenarios... it's becoming more evident in everyday life.

My Dad said, "Why don't you let it go? What good comes from getting all worked up?" I looked at him and told him, "It actually is very cathartic... I feel a ton better" LOL

Recently at HT, I picked up a package of something that had two markdown stickers. The value of the two markdowns was greater than the “full” price. As I intended to consume it that day, it wasn’t an issue.

I asked the guy overseeing the self checkout to help me scan the item. It ended up that they paid me to take it home. 😎

It was the sash, wasn't it???

Great now you just pissed them off. That’s just going to result in 20 more stores in that area. They will be popping up faster then weeds
You know the economy is bad when the rate of new stores increase.

But I will say that some very rural DG stores are depressing as hell. Unfortunately the options for healthier food is scarce now, and it doesn't help that people don't tend garden's as much anymore.
