I saw an article about the shooting in Auckland and as noticing a pic of and officer with an AR. Anyone know what that is on the stock or any other details of how they are kitted out?

looks like an aimpoint ACO.
not sure what the spare mag carrier on the stock is.

Now that I look at it again, I realize it does look like some form of mag carrier with a center strap. When I first saw it, it looked like 2 round tubes and I couldn't figure out what they would be.

Honestly looks like an odd setup. That stock, furniture, odd light and that mag carrier has got to make that awkward and through the balance off .

I think it's a CAR stock but it may just be an M4 telestock.

Looks like a mix of 20, maybe 25rd and 30's mags.
Also the last picture looks like some type of mag retainer or something to keep it from falling free.
