anyone been seeing the pictures on Facebook of these ? Rob pincus is doing a lot of the design work on them. Really cool looking set up. Takes 10 rd chip McCormick 1911 mags.

Personally, I think I'd rather have an XDs and have the options for 7,8, and 9rd mags, more aftermarket, and an already proven gun from a company that will definitely still be around in 5 years.

Yeah I get that but you know someone had to buy a 1st gen glock

I have been VERY intrigued by this. Build a single stack glock 19 and use existing mags. Sell it out the box with decent sights and comfortable msrp. Checks off a lot of boxes for me. If it runs id be interested.

Yeah thats how I've been on it too. It does check many boxes for me s I HATE a short grip pistol it drives me crazy to have my pinky off the gun. Seems like it might be a good CCW pistol. I wish I was going to shot show this year because I would deffintly like to check it out in person.

I dont go for the sub compact autos with the stubby grips. If i need a "small" gun i am happy to grab a j-frame. The thing i like about the avidity is it uses a preoven magazine. Its thin for concealment and you can run 10+1 in 9mm. That makes it viable for club level fun shoots/idpa type stuff for good practice. I hope they can get to market soon.

The XDs magazines are just 9mm 1911 mags cut for Springfields ambi mag catch. There were folks taking Wilson 9mm mags and modifying them to work on both their XDs and their 1911.

The double stack xd 9 can use beretta mags with a cut in the front i think. Lots of unadvertised mag swap can be done. Heck at this point it would be great if all double stacks used glock mags and single stacks used 1911. Just make the world a simplier place.
