Ax and saws

GRANSFORS BRUK, one of the finest axes you’ll ever find but pricey. This one runs about $200 but taken care of, you’ll never need another axe in your life. You get what you pay for.

Corona RazorTOOTH 21 in. D-Handled Raker Tooth Saw

Have a Fiskers axe I picked up at Lowe's and it's done well... have a small Fiskers Norden hatchet axe that I like alot as well.

These are really nice! BUT if you want to get close for less than half price, Husqvarna. Iirc they’re made by GB Hults Bruk, another high quality Swedish axe mfg.

Still want to spend less? Fiskars are tough to beat.

The other thing I like about Fiskars tools is they have a 25 or 30 year warranty with great customer service.

looking more in line of a 4' 5' or 6' saw. Don't know why I want one, but I think it'll be a good tool down the road.

Had a colleague who did alot of work with the USDA and US Forestry Service. I think he spoke highly of Lynx(?) Branded cross cut saws. I remember he always had them in a huge Pelican type of case and would be more likely to let you borrow his wife than the saw.

that seemed to be the name on the net. I didn't know if something else was out there or not.

I’ve got some of all 3 . I carry a Husqvarna in my Jeep and use several Gerber/Fishers around the barn. The GRANSFORS BRUK I use at the cabin.

I bought a nice Axe from Husqvarna- someone else already posted the name of the Swedish company that produces it so Husqvarna can put their name on it. I am amazed how much better it works , easier to sharpen with a file and holds an edge longer. I am cheap but i went and bought a hatchet they make with as well.

Anything old that hasn't been oversharpened....that way it will hold an edge. My go to is a 22" single bit boys axe....

I'll grab one side if you will get the other.....LMFAO

I have an estwing axe and hatchet and have been happy with them. Not the nicest around but good tools. I also have a Gerber splitting axe and it is great.
