Ive been back and forth for 2 days now on a barrel for my new 223SPR build. Will be shot at matches out to 535 yards max. I decided against the grendel and 224V, just for the fact that 223 should be easier/cheaper to shoot or less likely to have mag related problems and still should be fine at these ranges.
I have a friend that has placed very high at these matches running a bear creak 24" barrel and shooting ppu 75 ammo. ($9.99 a box)
He's been in my ear all day to save money and get a bear creek barrel.... I've been eyeing the Ballistic Advantage 20" 223 wylde fluted, $270 shipped with their discount for me.. then found it for $181 online and grabbed it.
What say you guys, should I have saved $100 and got the bear creek barrel?
