Just got done with my M16A4 clone build. It weighs in at 9.1 pounds, unloaded with no mag. Loaded it sits at 10 pounds. That is pretty ridiculous for a 5.56 IMO.

What does yours weigh? How many of your builds have gone overboard?

Just the fax.

Lightest one is 6.2 lbs empty. 16" stainless barrel with 12" Aero handguard and Holosun RDS

Depends on which one you want to weigh 223/5.56 16 in or 20 in H-bar Colt ,20 Spikes Tactical Or Rock River 9MM carbine . I would say the H-bar or the Spikes would tilt the scale at 9 pounds or more because of scope and bi-pods .The 9mm 6 1/2 pounds. Honestly I have never weighed one. No scales in this house.

I've never weighed it ,but it's not to heavy to pick up and if trouble starts,it's gonna get lighter, quick

18" SPR, with stainless match barrel, optic, suppressor and 20rd (loaded w/ 77gr SMK) magazine, weight as pictured: 12lb 6oz

Unsuppressed:
18" = 11lb 5oz
16" = 10lb 0oz

Nice post ;0)

16" Daniel Defense DDM4-V3, irons only, no mag = 238.5 lbs

Ooops ***backs off scale and does math*** make that 6.5 lbs

I have never weighed any of mine but since some of you have said that yours are a lot like mine I am curios now. I wonder what my m16a4 build weighs in at. This might take a while to get through them all.

I weighed one of my rifles last night. 11.5" SBR with ACOG, no mag came in at 7.5 lbs. I thought it would be less.
My 300 BLK SBR is a beast, even with the short barrel. I made a big padded pussy pad for my sling for when I wander the property at night. I have tender shoulders!

18": too much 10+, 16": too much, 14.5": 6.something.
Weighed them a while ago, forgot, scale is in the hay shed, will update later.

About 8lbs or so. Too much for my wife to handle comfortably so now she wants her own, that I will likely have custom built for low weight and low recoil (she is only 5 foot, 120 lbs).

This is called "fat shaming" and it's wrong. Just because you're a skinny little bitch rifle doesn't mean you need to parade around the internet asking rifles how much their fat-ass weighs.

Just messin'. I'll weigh mine tonight.

Green: 8lb 12oz empty Please forgive the rear sling attachment. I gave away my QD to someone who needed it.
Black: 6lb 14 oz empty

To everyone that picks up my green rifle and says "OMG, it's soooo heavy"... Yes, yes I do think you're a pu$%y.

I have no idea. Does it really matter what it weighs? Are any of us to weak to haul a 10+ lb rifle? Or how many of us are hiking 25 miles a day in the Middle East chasing bad guys? Seems to me if you can swing it around for home defense, and haul it around your neighborhood it is pretty good. Does a pound in either direction really matter to civilians?

Don't know what mine weigh. I forget things... I'll have to pull them out and check...

I agree in theory, but I just lightened up my competition gun by a couple pounds and it's a different handling weapon. So, there's that...

Got the scale out... Turns out, I'm fat... My ARs not so much....

18" A2 Rifle weighs 8.6lbs
7.5" Suppressed pistol weighs 7.8lbs
14.5" pinned weighs a scant 6.2lbs

These are all unloaded weights. Mags from 10rds to 40rds obviously can add some weight...

I am kinda disturbed by this green / FDE gun.

I wouldn't have thought it would look that good? But it does. Intriguing. Would be better if you just don't post that anymore please.

Noveske Bazooka Green

My 10.5 SBR is 8.8lbs fully loaded. I'm sure if I took the acog off and the Spikes Tactical barking spider flash can off it would come in much less.

My standard A2 build is a shade over eight pounds. My others, no idea

My 16" M4 with irons, RDS, and no mag weighs 6.2lb. Lighter than I thought, but it does have a polymer lower.

Barnes 16" CQB with Aimpoint Pro is right at 8lbs.

Not sure why my Aero build with comparable 16" stainless steel barrel, and Holosun RDS is only 6.2lbs.

I can only assume the Barnes handguard, and the optic is slightly heavier.

What are you guys building 16" rifles with to get them to 6lbs? That's light...

Aero Precision lower, and complete assembled Aero upper with 16" stainless .223 Wylde barrel, and their 12" MLOK handguard. I was surprised how light it all was assembled.
