So I have been looking for a fixed blade Infidel for quite some time. Found one at the site www.benchmadestore.com. It was about 30 bucks cheaper than the first one I purchased locally. The actual Benchmade website did not show this model available so I took a chance and ordered it from the website mentioned above. It took a few weeks to arrive. Looks like it came from Hong Kong. Reviews of the website from some of the blade forums suggest that it is indeed a knockoff, but the box, paperwork and every detail is exactly like the original knife. Are they just that good at counterfeiting products?CDCDAFF0-F593-4082-AE4D-ED524B4E3958.jpeg88F6F6D5-3253-40B4-89D8-4CDDCAB6E194.jpegimage.jpg

Yes they are that good. Try and contact Benchmade. Im.sure they'll help you figure it out.
Also post on https://www.bladeforums.com/ and you'll get good feedback.

I know a bunch of the folks over at Microtech that tell me the quality of counterfeits they see is pretty amazing. Not that the knives themselves are "quality", but the reproduction of design is good enough to fool most observers.

I bought a ZT off Amazon and had an issue with it, so I sent it in for warranty repair. They called me to see where I bought it. Then said it even fooled them initially, it was that good of a fake

I once found a "Boker" out in the woods after hunting season. Just looking at it, I thought I'd found something nice, but after a close inspection I saw it was a clever, if low quality fake. Ended up giving it to a coworker later who needed a pocket knife.

The counterfeit knife makers copy the packaging down to a T. So of the sellers on ebay will say that the knives are like such and such knife, but still have the originals trademarks and everything on them.

Chris Reeve Knives are heavily counterfeited, especially on ebay. CRK's are not made in China, do not sell for $29 and are not made of 440 SS.
