Can you all recommend the best shot timer for dryfire? - it will also be used at the range, but dryfire would be numero uno.

I've just been using the IPSC app but I'd like to find something better. Tired of dealing with my phone.

I have the PACT and Competition Electronics. I like the CE model over the others I've tried.

@IrishCannon Did you end up getting a shot timer? I used one yesterday for the first time and started looking online for reviews. From online reviews and discussions, I see frequent recommendations for the PACT Club Timer III mentioned above, the Competition Electronics PocketPro2 or ProTimerBT, and the CED 7000. RangeTech also comes up often. Curious what folks think of these.

I also see a lot of negative comments about shot timer apps, although some say they're okay for dry fire (but are otherwise useless). Since you asked about dry fire, have you considered something like the MantisX system?

Sorry I have no recommendations, but hopefully others who have used these products can provide some insight.

I have had several and like the CE . It is bigger but seems to more sensitive for dry fire - just remember to adjust sensitivity back when you go to the range

I have not picked one up yet. I've kinda been hoping to score a used one, so I've just kept my eye open. I'd go with either the PACT III or Pocket Pro at this point. Haven't seen any great arguments for one or the other. People have good and bad to say about both. Lately I've just been using a free app.
