I ordered 4 mags at the beginning of December … I paid for SHIPPING INSURANCE too! It supposedly was delivered 12/16 ... when I had been told it would be 12/17. I never received the package … I checked front and back. I contacted Classic and they filed a claim but FedEx and today 1/13 they denied it because “it was properly delivered”. Classic suggested I file a police report … over 3 weeks after it was not received … like the police will do that. I called the Customer Service at Classic and they will not seek anything further with FedEx and basically said it was up to me.

BEWARE OF CRAPPY CUSTOMER SERVICE WITH CLASSIC !!! They suck!

I'm pretty sure the sender has to file the claim. I'd definitely check with FedEx.
Classic did … over 3 weeks back. FedEx denied it to Classic because FedEx’s records show it was delivered properly . Funny thing is it was suppose to be delivered on 12/17 but the delivery notice says 12/16 … I never saw it … and I checked front and back doors. FedEx and Classic say I have to prove they did not deliver it … how do I do that? And this is why I paid the extra shipping insurance.

Assume you don't have a doorbell or other camera otherwise you'd have used that for proof.

If you know the exact delivery date and time, ask your neighbors if they caught the Fedex driver delivering anything then. That'll give you another data point to either tell them no trucks came down the road then, or if it did, then you could pursue the insurance for it being stolen.

Already asked the day after it was supposedly delivered … nobody saw or knows anything.

I am miffed to lose the 4 mags … they were the crazy neon green Lancers … and the money BUT what chaps my butt is the poor customer service response. The CSR Elizabeth offered virtually no help outside of file a police report (over 3 weeks later IF the police would even respond this late) and then call FedEx … AFTER I paid for shipping insurance. Glad it was not ammo or such where I’d be out $300 … $400 Buck!

Right, but if someone has a camera that captures any traffic on the street and they didn't record anything, that's your proof it wasn't delivered when they claim it was. Guess I'm asking if you asked the right question of your neighbors (possible you did).

Even worse I just got a notice they received a second run of the green mags … they could have just sent 4 replacement mags (by anyone but FedEx) and solved the whole problem. Classic Firearms … CF … so appropriate.

I don’t think there are any Ring Doorbells and even so we are not on top of each other to the point it would show much. Plus almost 4 weeks later I doubt it goes back that far.

It's a logical impossibility to prove they didn't do something. They're not playing fair.

Might be worth a drive to Indian Trail.

Yeah...I second. This was kinda my fault, but...Ordered 3 magazines for my Hi Point 995 (don't laugh...lol). Magazines were delivered while I was out of town. Wife brought the package in. When I returned, I opened it, and put them in with my 995. A couple months later, I went to the range. I pulled out one of the mags, and attempted to put 9mm ammo in it. The ammo wouldn't stay in the lips of the mag. I looked at the mag, and it was stamped .45ACP. I went out of town again, and called CF CS to address the issue. I got no answer. I emailed them. I explained the situation, and was asked for pictures of the magazines and packaging. I WAS OUT OF TOWN! After explaining this, I was told they shipped 9mm mags.... really?!? I was then told I couldn't return them, because it had been too long. Like I said, at least partially my fault, but you think they could've worked with me to keep customer. Never again! I got the impression (reading the emails) they thought I was trying to pull a fast one. Anyone need Hi Point .45ACP mags? Lol

I just got the owner‘s (Rick Jones) contact info … a couple emails and forwarded emails from the CSR have been sent. I have not yet begun to fight!
If that doesn’t work make a CC claim. Show the bank the proof and they should back you or ever scare the company with the fees they charge.

FedEx screwed me again recently with parts from work and a CZ folding pistol brace for my scorpion. The SOB’s denied it . The POS drivers leave our, and three of our neighbors stuff on the side of the road 1/4 mi from our homes. FuddEx lied and claimed they were left on the porch, porch pirates are a non issue.
Edit to add- I suggest adding Optics Planet and FedEx to the title thread.

You would have to have 12+ hours of footage of nothing. It's really hard to prove something didn't happen on such a wide window.

Not the way it works, at least on Arlo and Ring. You get a history of motion events (assuming you have a camera pointed at the right place) which shows if they came or if they didn't. On the Ring I also capture a still snapshot every 30 seconds. It saves them all for 60 days.

I capture every single vehicle or pedestrian that rolls through my cul-de-sac (I don't watch them all unless there is something I am looking for) and it comes in handy.

About once a month I get a request from my neighbors "hey did I get a package on X day"? I get the delivery time, scroll through the motion footage. Once, the sister in law was visiting neighbor A and took the package from the UPS driver and didn't tell him. Same neighbor asks "Did I get an Amazon delivery yesterday"? I look at the motion footage, see the Amazon driver stuffed the package in his mail box and tell him to go look there. I can text them a link to the video that shows the detail they can view in a web browser

Exact same scenario as the OP happened just before Christmas. Neighbor B said "FedEx clamed they delivered something and I didn't get it. Did you get a package for me? Can you check the camera?”. I looked at the camera, saw the FedEx guy deliver to his porch exactly as claimed and he gave me a "crap, now I have to unwrap all my wrapped gifts to find it".

I've provided this exact type of thing as detail for delivery conflicts on mine and works just fine.

Blue bars in the below screen shot show when something pulled through or walked in front of my house

I had that to happen with PSA on a case of ammo. Tracking number showed it as being delivered..I called PSA and told them that I had not received it.They called me back a couple of hours later and told me that it had been delivered by the UPS man so I said well I've been here all day I went to front porch the back portion of the backyard it had not been delivered. She then rattled off the address and I busted out laughing I said you dummy you sent it to the wrong place I haven't lived in that house in 5 years and I have gotten several deliveries at the new address since then. She said this is the address it was on file I said the paperwork when I ordered it stated delivered to and bill to the new address. I call my neighbor for an old old house and ask him to go check it and he said it was nothing on the porch and nothing anywhere around the house so they sent me another one to the correct address but it took me 2 weeks to get everything straightened out before I got the right thing

made 1 purchase with them years ago. took months for a supposed in stock item to make the 30 min journey. never again will they fool me with their just found warehouse crates... trash company.

It can show if they did, but not if they didn't. If they say "it was delivered at 1pm" and you look and have no footage for 1pm does that mean they weren't there, your system didn't record for some reason or... you deleted it? No way for them to know it's not #2 or #3. If you showed them hours of footage from 12pm to 2pm with no delivery and no break in the recording then maybe it would prove something.

Mostly my cameras record motion, but I've got some recording 24/7 for my own edification.

No, it shows both. There is a timeline gap with no blue bar where there is no motion (the examples I had above just had a ton of activity). I can scroll through with my finger in the 30 second snapshots as well showing that absolutely nothing happened.

Is Ben still involved? I thought he sold the place years ago.
He did sell it years ago, but I'm not sure if he is some how involved again. I don't see him in any of their ads like you used to.

Easy to make a new video with an older video camera or phone in airplane mode. just change the date and time. :)

Just for the sake of argument, what do you expect the CSrep to do? Push FedEx around or something?

CF has a contract with them and FedEx doesn’t deliver their package for free so CF has more leverage than I do ... So yes, I expect the CSR to at least question FedEx on it more than just accept the proof of “we delivered it”.

CF is the shipper, they have to make the claim not their customer. FedEx home takes most of these packages, lowest bidders.

Right. That's not the issue here. They made the claim and Fed Ex responded. We don't like their answer, so now what? OP has every reason to be pissed off, but FedEx investigated themselves and found no evidence of wrongdoing. One pissant commercial customer doesn't have the weight to push around the FedEx gorilla.

I'd like to see a class action lawsuit against these carriers over selling fake "insurance" that they have no intention of honoring.

the only thing worse than Fed Ex is USPS, I request everything shipped by ups, if they don't offer ups, I take my business elsewhere.
