Big news from Glock!!!

I am a former Glock fanboy. When I first got into firearms I was impressed that Glock seemed to have all the good options needed. Good CCW, good competition guns, good caliber selection, and so forth. But since then, all I have seen is every other company coming out with new and improved offerings. Glock then waits a while and comes out with something similar and announces how amazing it is. They seem to be living about 2 years in the past and pretending its 2 years in the future.
I think they're farther than 2 years behind, had they caught up with this and made it worthwhile... maybe everyone watching the live feed wouldn't have told glock in the comments to GFY lol

Everybody is on the mag capacity thing. If they double stack it like 10-22 type mags it has to curve so no in the grip mag. If they try and stagger it Taurus or Kel-Tec. I have seen the CP33 twice and both times the mag had at least a couple hiccups per run. Glock did what Glock does ... build an ugly poly-based gun that will most likely function as reliable as any other .22lr with a mag that fits in the grip. Glock fans and media followers will sings praises and Glock will sell a lot of them. I won’t be buying one ... if somebody gave me one maybe but the grip angle still ain’t my favorite ... and it sounds like many here won’t either BUT there are plenty of people who live and breathe Glock and new shooters who will be convinced by Glock Boys that it’s better than any other semiauto .22lr handgun out there no matter if it only holds 10 rounds.

From the TFB article...

Q. What is the GLOCK 44 magazine capacity?

A. These two G44’s use 10 round magazines, although there have been whispers of possible 15 round magazines in the future (my GLOCK carrying cases were marked 15 round).

Q. Are there GLOCK 44 threaded barrel versions available?

A. Factory G44 threaded barrels will be available on the commercial launch date.

If 15rd mags and threaded barrels are in the wild, I'll buy one...

A 10 round 19 sized .22lr. They could have at least made it 15 to match the 19 for practice.

When Glock came out with the G42 and then the G43, everyone was saying they were late too the party, already been done, etc. And they sold a million of them. They will sell a million of the G44's, too. I've learned to never say never but, I doubt that I'll ever have a G44 in it's current configuration.

Cost is $430 MSRP, up from $400 in a few previews I have seen. Even fanboyism ain't gonna command a $100 premium over Ruger and Smiff compact 22lrs with METAL slides.
Why all the Glock hate brahhh? Who cares what some fanboy somewhere pays or buys.

how many Rugers exist under co tract in the world? None? 2, 3? At the end of the day, glock has a contract with at least a PD and military in every country on the planet. I’m all for rooting for the underdog, it’s just weird to care so much what someone else buys.

I'd prefer the Advantage Arms kit to turn my 9mm Glock into .22LR. It's much cheaper than buying a complete Glock (we don't know the cost of the G44 yet) and still has 10 round magazines.
I understand the new Glock having 10 round magazines so they can be sold in more states. However, if Glock had made a 15, 20, 30 round magazine available, they would have a lot more interest. Maybe they will someday.
I'll just continue to shoot my Ruger SR-22.....with 10 round magazines.

Copy that on advantage arms. Love my set up.

regarding the mags, 22lr mags are notoriously problematic. The only >10 round 22lr mags I ever seen work flawlessly are 10-22 bx-15 and be-25. 10 rounds appears to be the functional sweet spot for 22

Uh, just saying, but I've never seen a glock on any Ugandan or Nigerian soldier or police officer lol :p I get your point. Just being an ass.

does Uganda PDF even acquire guns through legitimate trade? I assume they mostly just shake down some war lords in their co tropes areas and take needed weapons. In That case, would bet my house there are some officials walking around with Glock....honestly not even sure if I’m being facetious.

They got some beat up AKs I know that... probably got rusted barrels and crooked ass sights lol

And it’s...nothing. What a letdown!

they must get theirs from Century Arms too :) had to bang my front sight post into proper order with a hammer. Never again will I buy an AK when can build one to much higher quality . Though I hear ever since the Russia sanctions more and more decent USA manufacturers have sprung up.

I'm sure they'll be available for $350 in short order...

With the factory threaded barrel and 15rd mags, I'll be buying one before long. All the videos I have seen look really good...

Yeah...if I can get one for $350 with the threaded barrel and 15rd mags, I’ll be in.

I doubt that will be the case. Sounds like the 15rd mags will be accessory like the threaded barrel. Maybe in the future I suppose. I'll want plenty of mags and a regular barrel anyway. So, doesn't matter to me.

Bud's first 500 only for TEAM BUD's members.
Yes and that cost $29.95 a years to save $10. I don't think so. I personally am not a fan of polymer guns even thought I have a few Glocks,I won't buy a G44 at any price. well maybe if it was under $100

Check out the threads listed on the package for the threaded barrel ... european M9x.75 ... wonder if they’ll do a 1/2x28 for the US at first?

Also it will have a meh stock 6lb (approx 26N) Glock trigger. I might be swayed but it will be hard for me to see it being better or more fun than my Ruger 22/45 (which has my favorite grip angle).

Pretty sure the M9x.75 are the threads on the barrel...the ones the adapter attaches to. Then the adapter has the 1/2-28 threads.

That’s the same thread pitch the Firefly and Mosquito have. Similar to the M8x.75 the M&P 22 has.

Yep, I just hate adapters. CZ was another M18 threaded one I was not to happy about but they saw the American light and now offer 1/2x28 stuff in addition to euro stuff.

I can wait, KYGUNCO will promo them in a year or less. Just like the Wrangler I just purchased.
