Do you have a gun built in the year you were born. @BatteryOaksBilly and I was talking about this when I was down there a couple weekends ago. I currently do not, but have a bid on a Star BM9, built in 74, on gunbroker as we speak. Oh, and I'm new to gunbroker.......and this is not good for me, haha. I'm seeing way too many guns I like and WANT on there. Got a bid on another Hi Power ending tomorrow. This is gonna get expensive, lol.

I’ve had somewhat of a hard time finding one.

I picked up a birth year Colt 1911 a few years ago; sent it to Ted Yost for a build.

Here she is before her trip to Mr. Yost.

I was sitting here thinking about a birth year 1911, but figured it would detract from my motorcycle parts fund. That said, a Yost build would be way more economical than a mid ’50’s Panhead.

I dont, and wouldnt go out of my way to find one
If i come across a super cheap 10/22 made that year maybe I'd pick it up, but I dont see a big reason to buy simply based on it (opinion)

I've got one, a Marlin 99M1 I've had since I was 13. A birth year 1911 would be cool, but I'd prefer a S&W model 57.

same. Not sure year I was born would have anything of particular interest. Maybe a 1st gen or prototype glock from late 80s if that time period is about right.

If I find an 82 MP5 that I can afford I'll buy it lol

Don't have a birth year gun, but it caused me to do some research and I ran across Guns magazine from the year I was born. It's interesting to see what was going on.

Once upon a time I had a birth year Panhead. Paid $500 for it with the trans apart. Fixed that and traded it for a car I needed more than the motorcycle.

Hindsight.........

My first roommate’s brother in school had a ’55 pan, and a ’55 Nomad. This was mid ’70’s.

My older brother and I went in together and bought a 1955 Nomad back in 1971. We bought it to flip but ended up keeping it a few years and then sold it for a very handsome profit.
It was an all original Nomad that was just a station wagon to the owner. The guy was using it on his farm in Kannapolis and there was a bale of hay in the back when we bought it. He put a price on it and we brought it home.

I'd love me an '87 Gen 1 G19.

Yes I know it'd cost a literally arm and leg, or maybe a kidney.
