Have any of you tried blue light glasses for workign on your computer?

Now with how school is going, Im online WAY more than Ive ever been before
I ordered two pair off of Amazon, but was curious what people thought about them
 
I use the orange cheapos off Amazon and they actually work very well. I usually throw them on around 9pm or so.
 
Yep, the cheaper ones from Amazon. The whole family has at least one pair each

Digital eyestrain: Blue light from computer screens and digital devices can decrease contrast leading to digital eyestrain. Fatigue, dry eyes, bad lighting, or how you sit in front of the computer can cause eyestrain. Symptoms of eyestrain include sore or irritated eyes and difficulty focusing.


Retina damage: Studies suggest that continued exposure to blue light over time could lead to damaged retinal cells. This can cause vision problems like age-related macular degeneration.


There is also discussion that the blue light alters your bio-rhythms, making you think it's daylight and screwing up your sleep cycle. There are apps for your phone that tone down the blue spectrum. I'd be surprised if there's not an app for laptops as well.

My wife who’s a teacher has bought a couple pair. She likes them so far. Says her eyes aren’t as tired at the end of the day

Definitely love them. They make a big difference in reducing eye strain for me.

So Ive used them two days now (thanks Amazon for cutting a day off of the shipping!!) and I think it's better than it was before/without them.
And Ive gotten compliments on glasses lol
I still have headaches, but I had those before being in front of the computer for hours, but I think it's LESS than it was. I'll keep wearing, heck, Im wearing as I type this.
 
Good to read some positive feedback on these. Just ordered my wife a pair of prospek blue light glasses from amazon. I think they come in today so we will see how they help her.
 
What I did was get my last two eye glass prescriptions filled with the computer blue light filter.

Having a proper prescription combined with the blue light filter completely eliminated the terrible eye strain I was suffering from.

I have VSP insurance, so it didn't cost all that much.

Would have been even cheaper if I went to Costco.
