Hey y'all! How do y'all store your 100ct (etc) bullet boxes? :D

I've been accumulating 100ct boxes of .308 bullets over time, and now I have this obnoxious pile in my ammo stash where they're starting to accumulate. It's somewhat unsightly, isn't well organized and is kind of an eyesore, aside from the satisfaction of knowing I have that many .308 bullets. Even worse, they're stacked in front of something I'd like to have access to, that I have to move each individual box of bullets in the pile out of the way to get to. How do you organize your stash so that the bullets are easy to get to, are neat and organized in your shelves, and aren't in the way of larger boxes? I'm interested in seeing if anyone has any clever ideas that I wouldn't have thought about. :)

EDIT: Oh right, ammo boxes just for bullets are a thing. Duh.

I personally store projectiles exactly the same as I do anything else....

Ammo can labeled with contents. Inside are factory boxes, just as received...

If the box they came in falling apart. A ziplock with sharpie info works great.

I'm not really sure I get why/how boxes of projectiles is in the way?

Move them? Put them in a correct sized container and label it? Then move whatever your after to the forefront? Move the other stuff elsewhere?

I’ll happily store some of them for you. ;)

Lol. Definitely a dumb moment on my part. I really should have just considered ammo cans for bullets the same way I do complete cartridges. Yes I promise I do store my complete/factory ammo in ammo cans. I literally have no idea why that never came to mind. Please forgive me, yes that was stupid. Ammo cans it is. :D

I had this convoluted idea in my mind for little shelves with neat little bullet boxes, set into smaller shelves on my larger shelves. Sometimes it's better to not reinvent the wheel. That is wasteful and unnecessary.

I have some in 30 cal ammo cans, but I’m thinking hard about these square 32oz plastic containers for cast or bulk bullets

The perfect solution.......... I made the move on this last year, after many many years of bagging and putting bullets away. I was amazed at how many bullets I found under the bench, in drawers, boxes, and put away............. Now they are all out, labeled, and protected in these containers..... much smaller footprint on the shelves as well.......... I still have some bullets in commercial boxes because there are not enough to justify a container, but much better organized than they were.

The larger containers, 64 and 120 oz also work great for brass............

They are stackable, air tight, clear and easy to see through, I am very pleased with what I have been able to do with them here..................

Yes, same as JimB posted, I ordered mine from the same place. They are strong and I have had zero issues with them. I get a catalog from them on occasion, most of the time I toss all catalogs, get several every day. I kept one, looking through it, and the "Light Bulb" switched on to these...........They are also excellent bulk food containers..............Like Rice and dry beans and such........

Those plastic containers are great for storing all kinds of stuff. Y’all are going about it all wrong. The larger plastic containers are available at Costco for free. You just buy the peanut butter stuffed pretzels and get the container free. The smaller plastic containers are available at sams club. You buy the bulk m&m and the containers are free.
Hope this helps.

Are these 32oz. containers in the first pic. of .500, .366, .416 and .458 ?

HEH.... OK well lets see, I ordered a total of 192 32 oz containers, 48 64 oz containers, and 48 128 oz containers so far. Thats a hell of a lot of peanut butter stuffed pretzels and M&Ms to choke down..... I am a big snack sort a guy, ask my wife, but that is even a bit much for me....... LOL................

Yes.........

I don't have a lot of shelf space so I use 30 cal ammo cans. Filled with projectiles they're light enough that I can manage them and heavy enough that the wife leaves them alone.

Yeah, I've got a couple of 50cal cans loaded with 200gn 45acp projectiles, and they are pretty heavy! The 30 cal cans would be a lot easier to manage.

Damn...I’m hard.

Awesome organization, right there!

From This................

To This.......................Lot less footprint with the Containers, and you can add more bullets to the shelf..................... You still have some boxes with small amounts of a particular bullet, but the bulk you can "Contain".............

The shelf is 12 inches in depth, I cleared out 6+ inches up front for MORE BULLETS...............

See, now that's the sort of stuff I made this thread to ask about. :D This is more of what I had in mind.

To be fair, I got the supplier from @Michael458 ’s earlier thread. I’ve looked at similar for a long time but his confirmation of durability locked it in for me. I too love snacks, but they stay with me for longer than the containers these days!

I don’t mind the factory bullets in their pretty boxes since they stack well and the bullets stay clean, it’s the reused boxes and ziplocks of lubed (and now powder coated) cast bullets that I hate. I swear that I remelt half of my lubed bullets just because they collect grime over time. Maybe I need to load faster.

I use repackboxes and store them in MTM crates. I can fit about 3,500 9x19 rounds to a crate. They stack and store well. I don't shoot a lot of factory stuff these days, so don't have to deal too much with odd shaped boxes.

That’s my source as well! Peanut butter pretzels for large, nuts for smaller containers, and then I also have some protein powder containers but they’re white, not clear.

Yes.........
Thank you sir. Been getting containers from Dollar Tree but they crack easily after about a year. These look more sturdy.

Way too organized.......... If I was that organized and didn't have to look for stuff I'd have to find something to do for another 3 hours a day.

I picked up a few of theses yesterday from the Dollar Tree, $1 each. They also had them with a white lid. Seem fairly sturdy. For reference that's .38 Special brass in the pic. I also put about 120 .223 cases in one.

Mostly keep mine in the smaller square cat litter containers (donated by friends). The taller ones work too but I'm getting too old to lift one full of 45acp! I don't have room for shelves, so the litter containers are stacked on HF 4 wheel dollys. I can roll the dolly anywhere I need it or to just move it from in front of the water heater/HVAC air handler closet.
