buy or pass?

I have a G1 Shield, MCarbo’s springs & polishing made a big difference, worth checking out. Otherwise good pistols.

Better trigger, much grippier texturing, no 9mm accuracy issue, redesigned slide release is less breakage prone and doesn't auto forward on mag insertion.

Not everyone considers all of these improvements. The 2.0 grip is pretty rough for CC, and the 1.0 auto forward is convenient though potentially unreliable. I like the gen 1, and think this is a ok deal, but unless I specifically wanted a low cost gun I would get a 2 or something else.

I owned a 1.0 and 2.0 m&p 9’s. The two posts above cover it.

I still don’t like the hinged triggers, but I can’t say that detracted from my shooting. I still put Apex FSS triggers in both. I was running both in matches. If the 2.0 had been a purely defensive blaster I would have been content with the factory trigger.
 
Thanks for the info. I have/had several 1.0's and always added at least a sear. But don't think I've ever even handled a 2.0.

Now I know I shouldn't if I want to stay happy with mine😆
 
Thats not a bad buy at all. A local gun shop around here was getting police trade ins from Buds Gun Shop I believe, that didnt look too bad. I believe they were selling them for around $425-$450 out the door if I remember correctly. No way to tell how many rounds had been put through them though. That's a pretty good price!
 
Picked mine up today. Gun in a plain box with a magazine. I'd give it a solid good condition. Comparable to my CC 9c in wear. Meaning basically none but you can see wear some if you look.

I'll run it through the paces tomorrow. Dryfiring. Triggers not bad. It feels really close to the 9c with apex stuff. I'll pull out the scale this evening. Interesting note. The mag is clearly used but seems to have a new follower.

Overall, I would have thought about picking up another except my FFL had a plain Rossi lever in .357 finally and it wasn't overpriced like I've seen other places🤣🙄
 
I picked mine up yesterday and I am extremely pleased. Mine shows hardly any discernable wear at all, came freshly cleaned and lubed in the original box with the 2 extra backstraps and everything that originally came with it - even the test fire casing. Just the 2 extra mags are missing. That's better than advertised at least for my specimen. Mine was born 2014 so the night sights don't have much left but for 8 years that is probably fairly normal. Glad I bought it!

I was hoping to get lucky with factory box but no dice. There’s a reason I don’t play the lottery though. Still a fine purchase and exactly as described on the website. So thank you for making the thread so I saw it.



Mine wasn’t cleaned, but wasn’t filthy by any means. Night sites sights still have some life. Unsure of year but it has the little coded square after the serial that my 2012 9c doesn’t, so it’s prolly a 14’ as well.

Functions just like all the rest. Zero hiccups in a quick 50rds. Consistent 8lb trigger. Feels very close to my apex parts filled one which has a 5lb break. Probably just going to pick up a smaller blackstrap and leave it alone.

You're welcome. I noticed that while they PSA didn't promise anything, a very high percentage of reviewers got lucky and got original box, backstraps etc. so it seemed that chances were pretty good there. At least for me it was a square hit right on target, right down to the test fire casing, cable lock, manual, the whole nine yards. I honestly didn't expect the backstraps and was prepared to buy some on my own. Must give PSA credit for underpromising and overdelivering, the LEO trade in I got from Classic a while back was more of the other way round.
 
Yeah, noticed that too. Funny that we ordered same day, delivered same day. Yet you got all the factory stuff and I got a basic box. Someone in the shipping department is enjoying themselves getting to pick who gets “lucky”🤣.

Over a dozen in 24 months. got a NIB G43 and several other Glocks and Sig AR all as advertised and never disappointed.

Those 43’s Kings had were a topic here some bit back. They still got 5 or 6 left according to their page.
 
Be tempting if they weren’t Glocks.
