Buying a new Kubota Tractor Package

Don’t forgot to call farm bureau to get a tractor insurance policy. Tractor and price both look great.
I put a big down payment and financed the rest. They wouldn't let me leave without buying the Kubota insurance.

I have always thought it was crazy for a dealer to be ugly about servicing a tractor they did not sell. The purchase is a one-time deal, but service is forever. I had a friend who sold IH down in Alabama who would sell equipment locally at near cost just so that he could get their service business. Have fun with the tractor.

Think about to to finally sell my boat. After that I’m gonna be looking
This dealer in Alabama told me that Kubota changed their policy and they are not allowed to sell tractors to anyone as far away as NC.

They got around this with me because I own land in Alabama (which is true), but the guy didn't even mention it yesterday. They did all the paperwork with my NC driver license and my NC address.

I told him, that I have some friends in NC that might want to buy a tractor. Would that be ok, even though he's not supposed to sell to people in NC?

He said something like, "Yeah. Send them down here. I'll say that they are buying a tractor to use on your place down here. No problem."

This place really does have the best prices... And they gave me two free kubota hats and two free kubota shirts.

Welcome back! Glad that you made it home safely.

Over the years I’ve made more than one grease cap from duct tape on the side of the road. They work remarkably well in the short term.

Enjoy that new toy, and happy Thanksgiving.
Dang Scott! I thought about using duct tape, but I was afraid it wouldn't hold.

After trying all the dust covers at O'Reilly, I asked the salesman if I should just tape it up real good, and he said it wouldn't work.

That's exactly what I'll do next time... Hopefully it won't happen again. Haha.

Are the tires loaded?
Great choice on the R4 Tires.
Mine have stood up to honey locust thorns that would impale a grown vietnamese man.
He asked if I wanted him to fill the tires. I told him no because I had to haul it so far with my Nissan Titan. I didn't want to haul that extra weight 700 miles. It's a good thing he didn't because my truck had to work pretty dang hard yesterday.

awesome story! I had that happen to me (Dust cover). Auto parts store didn't have it, but they had a Food Lion next door. A zip lock bags and duct tape the heck out of it to the hub, I was golden. It work for the 300 miles track back. I was surprised it held to be honestly.

Only load the back tires, not the front.

Lefford at B&B tire in Bear Creek, Chatham CTy can do them for you.

A spray can cap duck taped on makes a quick on in a pinch and holds up pretty dang well as dust cap as well. Had one a a trailer for a severals months cause we kept forgetting to get it everytime we went to dealer.

Now that you are home just order a set of bearing buddies and bras and never worry about it again. Awesome tractor!!

It's already got a grease fitting in the center of each hub. I was going to buy a grease gun and just pump fresh grease into it every hundred miles.... But, the Orielly's only had one grease gun left on the shelf and it was broken.

This afternoon, I wanted to go scrape the driveway with the new tractor and box blade...

My wife told me I wasn't allowed to...

She said she wants the new tractor to stay clean until tomorrow so that we can take a family picture in front of the new tractor. And, she wants to be the one in the driver's seat, in the photo...

I told her, that's the most redneck thing I've ever heard... Now she's offended.

Don't forget this is a woman who was raised in Los Angeles. I think I've got her pretty well converted to country life.

Sounds like she got a new tractor and you will be asking permission to drive her new toy. Maybe she will let you sit on it and make engine noises from time to time. 😁.

Just messing enjoy the new toy you will find many uses for it.

You'll find all kinds of ways to use that front end loader my friend. I tell my neighbors that a tractor without a loader is only "half a tractor." lol

So now did you get to play with it ... or is she still trying to keep it sparkly new clean?
I still haven't "used" the tractor.

We went outside and took a few pictures. Then, I lifted the kids up and down and up and down in the loader bucket.

I drove up and down the driveway, a few times, with the girls in the bucket, and then it was time for dinner.

June, the 6 year old, proclaimed that the new tractor is better than any ride at Disney World...

Tomorrow, I'll work on the driveway.

When I thought I was going to purchase some land, I was looking at the L series. Deal didn't work out...so I don't have a tractor.
What do you have and how does it differ from the L? Forgive my ignorance in advance.
Fine tractor you have and fine family!
I think I've watch just about every tractor video in YouTube...lol.
Congrats!!

Kubota has a very convoluted line of tractors. I don't understand all of the intricacies...

But, I think there are three different sizes of kubota tractors.

B Series: small tractors... Not much larger than a riding mower.

L Series: medium tractor... Light duty... residential grade tractors

M Series: large tractors... Heavy duty... industrial grade tractors

Mine is an MX5400, the smallest of the M Series tractors. 52 horsepower.

Y'all make a tractor look good. Great pictures.

Apparently Kubota does year end 31 October.

I have found the l2501 is just too small for what I need vs what I thought I needed. I stopped at the local dealer Tuesday just to look around. Had to be back by there today. They got their final prices to get the tractors moved by end of the month.

Mx5600 shuttle shift is a base of $26,900 + 3100 for 2 rear remotes and 3rd function. $31,100 otd taxes and all included. Trading in the 2501 and 0% for the rest.

What makes no sense is this one came in Tuesday ans its included in year end move'em sale prices.

Picking it up next week.

Congrats. I love my MX. I expect you'll love yours too... It's built so much better than the L series... Much more heavy duty.
