I'm in the process of re-powering one of my boats and want to spend roughly 10K on the engine. Can't get ANYONE to answer the damned phone at either location. How in hell is someone supposed to do business with a company that can't be bothered to answer the phone and provide information.
Not just today BTW, been trying for 2 days...

I shed a tear when BP completed the purchase of Cabelas. I knew it would be the end of a beautiful relationship. The only thing I ever bought at BP in Cary was a Dewey rod and I could not believe they had something I wanted even at twice the internet price so I bought it. THey are both dead to me. BP never had squat for reloading supplies and I am sure they will do the same thing to Cabelas in Garner.

They must have your number blocked for some reason.

Seriously, I just got through on the first try and when I asked for the boating department they only wanted to know "sales, service, or parts."

Call another dealer? Surely they aren't the only ones that sell engines?

They tend to have the better pricing due to their number of engines purchased over time. I bought from Cabela's 2 years ago when I first put this craft together and they were about 1800 to 2000.00 cheaper than any other dealer in the area, but that was before they merged with Ass Pro...

BB, I looked at the Mercury when repowering the Mako (wanted the weight of a 2-stroke) and ended up with an E-Tec. One of the best decisions I have made. E-Tec was the last motor that I thought I wanted.

If Cabelas got rid of powder I would have zero reason to go there.
They got rid of affordable powder and primers. Now I have zero reason not to order from Powder Valley or when one of the other online retailers does free hazmat. Got 10K Winchester SPP primers shipped to the door for 2.5 cents each last month.

You might want to try chat Lee in tramway nc. It's near Sanford nc and they are the largest watercraft dealer in the area.
